Woolfman Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 Was wondering if anyone knows if it is ok to store my banshee, lt250r and eiger standing up on their ass end on rear tires and bumper? I'm running out of room in my garage thought that would free up some space. Quote
black sunshine Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 Probably going to leak tranny fluid out of the breather. I've never done it, though  Quote
Woolfman Posted May 2, 2009 Author Report Posted May 2, 2009 I have run breather hoses up to the steering stem Quote
R. Rollins Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 I dont see how it would hurt anything doing it that way. I would just drain all fluids out of it and then lift her up on end. With no fluids there is no worry. Plus a good oil change every 10 hours of riding time is good for it anyhow. You could just drain the fuel back into the fuel can with the hose. Quote
Woolfman Posted May 2, 2009 Author Report Posted May 2, 2009 I would hate to drain the fluids after every ride. Right now I have to leave one outside with a cover on it. Quote
lilmegill727 Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 banshees tend to leak tranny oil when you stand them up. you better off draining the tranny oil then standing it up Quote
#1JUANstunna Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 I store two Blasters and my Banshee that way with no problem unless I forget and fill the gas tank full. Then it leaks. Quote
titbird Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 Hey bud... Dont know how long you're storing for... but... no oil, leaves room for moisture, rust... some might say its bad to do such a thing. I tend to agree... food for thought... and the breather hose (to the handlebars) prolly only needs to be just higher than the trans case itself... (helps if you are searching for a long tube...) Hope i was helpful... - Titty Quote
Christada Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 I have mine standing up in my garage since I have no room and have never had a problem Quote
