Storing my Banshee question

Was wondering if anyone knows if it is ok to store my banshee, lt250r and eiger standing up on their ass end on rear tires and bumper? I'm running out of room in my garage thought that would free up some space.

Probably going to leak tranny fluid out of the breather. I've never done it, though :shrug:

I have run breather hoses up to the steering stem

I dont see how it would hurt anything doing it that way.

I would just drain all fluids out of it and then lift her up on end.

 

With no fluids there is no worry.

 

 

Plus a good oil change every 10 hours of riding time is good for it anyhow.

 

You could just drain the fuel back into the fuel can with the hose.

I would hate to drain the fluids after every ride. Right now I have to leave one outside with a cover on it.

banshees tend to leak tranny oil when you stand them up. you better off draining the tranny oil then standing it up

I store two Blasters and my Banshee that way with no problem unless I forget and fill the gas tank full. Then it leaks.

Hey bud...

 

Dont know how long you're storing for... but... no oil, leaves room for moisture, rust... some might say its bad to do such a thing. I tend to agree... food for thought...

 

and the breather hose (to the handlebars) prolly only needs to be just higher than the trans case itself... (helps if you are searching for a long tube...)

Of the 3 banshees in my garage right now, all three have been stood up at one point or another. 2 dont leak at all, 1 pukes like crazy. dont know why that is.

I'm working on it going to build a huge shed in the backyard when I have the funds. When I buy my next house it's goin to have a third car garage double deep climate controled just for my fourwheelers and a big nice work bench.
