I read on here a while back that when you install a Pancake Bearing that you have to adjust the clutch arm a little beyond the arrows in the case. But wich way? Towards the Flywheel side or the Clutch side?

Mine ended up about 1/4" toward the flywheel side. Its all about touch, just get it close and adjust the rest with your perch. Worked fine for me.

I dont use the alignment arrows.. I turn the adjuster screw in until it touches.. then back out 1/16 a turn.

I did the same thing, but backed off 1/4 turn.

Remember to let all the slack out at the clutch perch. assemble the clutch and pressure plate without springs or screws and tighten the adjuster till it contacts (the pressure plate will move). Then back out a bit and tighten up.

The arrow thing to get the clutch set is too complicated. You have to take off the carbs or have freaky fingers like ET to get it done that way. Asking the wife to help usually is not an option.

yeah i just set mine till it felt right. I have a slingshot style lockup so i had to shove a small knife to stop the shaft from spinning to i can adjust it with the plates on. That was fun
