35 pwk vs 34 flat slide

every one I know runs the flat slides and no one can tell me why they are better or what the plus or minus of ether carb would be. Can some one please explain this to me?

What kind of flat slide? Mikuni TM carb? Keihin PJ carb?

From what I understand,the flat slides have better throttle response then the round slide carbs do.

Stock carbs with TORS are a drag to work on. Flatslides are easy to tune.

As for carb size determination: Depends on some variables...intended use, current mods, elevation.

 

Unless you are drag racing only, the best carb is the smallest one that will do the job for your riding type/motor build.

Carb venturi's need velocity to atomize fuel well so if you have a stockish motor, the 28's would be a good choice. I run the 33PWK's and they fit my motor build perfectly.
