Tf705 Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 I cant make my mind up on what to get. what will the power difference be between cub cylinders on a stock stroke crank vs stock cylinders drag ported by herr jugs? they will be ran with cpi inframe pipes on stock carbs. what would be a better set up? wesw Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 stock carbs on a drag port why waste your time. also cubs are hard to beat. for the money involved. Quote
Tf705 Posted April 14, 2009 Author Report Posted April 14, 2009 my buddy has stock carbs on his rdz drag port and it runs pretty hard. it will only see the sand dunes and most of the time it will be at the drag strip. but i will still ride it around and screw with my buddies on there 4 strokes. i guese my question is how much faster will a cub be than the drag ported cylinders? FASt told the 4mils r fast but a cub willpull alot harder on top and if your planning on dragging it out down the road cubs r the way to go. thats wat i finally made my choice on. Quote
00tbanshee Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 ask kevin he will be straight up with you and sell you just what he thinks is best for what kind of riding you do Quote
Wildcardracing Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 A set of stock cylinders done by a competent builder can run right with a drag ported cub and easily outrun a box stock cub. Our aggressive dune ported stock strokes have run right with several cub motors. It is also going to depend on total setup and state of tune. Quote
flotek Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 the engine is only responisble for probably less than 50% of the outcome ,tranny ,chassy setup, gearing ,tires all play a huge role .that how the wild drag 350's can run under 4 seconds in 300 feet Quote
