lilmegill727 Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 this is a dumb question but is it possible to do a drag port over the mx/trail port i have now? or do i just get cub cylinders? and eventually in a year or so im gonna be setting my shee up for hillclimbing for the hills at coal hill. what set up should i do? thanks -kevin Quote
jbooker82 Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 Yea a builder should be able to report for a drag port. I would go for a Dune port if your going to be hill shooting / climbing. In general a dune port gains you a bunch of top end but doesnt cost you near as much midrange as a drag port would. Quote
lilmegill727 Posted March 31, 2009 Author Report Posted March 31, 2009 ok thanks. and do you think i should go 4, 7 or 10 mill? is it possible to have a stock cylinder 10 mill? and should i even bother porting these cylinders over again since they're already bored .30 over or should i just do like a 7 or 10 mill cub? and what kind of override tranny do i do? would i be able to do a dunable override or should i do a different one? thanks -kevin Quote

locogato11283 Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 matt runs a cheetah motor on the coal hills. looks like it runs pretty good there. the PV setup really helps on the bottom end but the cheetah will still pull the high R's. you can do 4, 7 and 10mm stock cylinder motors. the 10's take a lot of work from my understanding. the 4 is the easiest and the 7 is pointless since its the same price as the 10. personally, i would just do the 4mm. itll save you tons of time and money.
