cjtl1000r Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Looking at options for my rebuild and have found good deal on these pipes. Whats the main differance and is performance better with one over the other? Quote
shanYE west Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Turbine core silencers are spark arrested while the power cores are not.. Quote
cjtl1000r Posted March 26, 2009 Author Report Posted March 26, 2009 Assuming the spark arrestors will restrict the exhaust flow, is it safe to say the power core will have a louder sound and allow for more air flow? Quote

Couldn't tell ya.. I've never ran FMF on a banshee.. Only had them on a blaster with a Turbine core awhile ago.. But its safe to assume that the powercore would be a touch louder and have better flow. Quote
black sunshine Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 According to FMF, there is no loss of power. I would like to see dyno results saying as much, though! Quote
jmoore Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Me and a buddy both run FMF. He has the power cores and I have the turbine cores. If you dont ride where there is a noise restriction get the power cores. They are a little louder and sound better imo. Quote
jbooker82 Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 I ran both on mine. I really couldnt tell a difference between them. They were both ran on FMF SST pipes. The turbine core is just a sparkarrested pipe. If you need a spark arrestor I would highly recomend them. Much better alternative to clamping on those hoky screens. josh Quote
