King Boo Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Posted March 25, 2009 also im at 600 ft elevation if that helps at all and im running amsoil dominator 50:1 with 93 octane and if there is a compression issue,is checking the compression just like a automobile because im automotive tech by trade so hopefully its close to the same Quote
AKheathen Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 i would start by checking for spark and looking for where it could be leaking air. clean out the carbs real good, and you'll probably need bigger pilots. is there fuel on the new plugs? make sure your slides/cables aren't sticking. Quote
King Boo Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Posted March 25, 2009 Duely noted i did clean the carbs when i first got it and yes there is a lil bit of fuel but its usually pretty dry looking u really cant feel any moisture like theres fuel on it Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 Start by checking your inake boots, where your boost bottle hooks into them, for cracks. The bottle is notorious for cracking intake boots. Then get a stock cross over tube to replace the boost bottle. Then take your boost bottle outside and smash it with a hammer, or mail it to Angel Ripper. He jacks off to boost bottles. Quote
King Boo Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Posted March 25, 2009 lmao thats good stuff well i guess ill try that and see where it takes preciate the input and advice with the hammer i love smashing stuff Quote
King Boo Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Posted March 25, 2009 also if i didt clarify it will not start at all now and it seems alot easier to kick over Quote
GrMeyer Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 is there are reason why your so High on the jets? What is the pilots set at? Quote
King Boo Posted March 26, 2009 Author Report Posted March 26, 2009 my local shop recommended the jets for my mods and elevation and the pilots are 27.5 it had 240 mains in it before the airbox mod and it ran like shit with 240's Quote

black sunshine Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Compression test results in Cold engine 6 kicks per cylinder 75psi left 85psi right! What do you guys think? It ran great last sunday! turn the gas off, hold the throttle wide open, and kick it till the gauge stops climbing. Might be 10-20 kicks. Quote
Sammy Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 turn the gas off, hold the throttle wide open, and kick it till the gauge stops climbing. Might be 10-20 kicks. That was throttle open. So we need to kick it more. Quote
