I was just able to pick up a basically new R6 rear shock for peanuts and figured I might try it on the Shee. Is this strictly a flat track mod or are there others using this with some 300EX fronts to lower there bike and ride trails or climb hills?

I know i will be killing my ground clearance but my rear shock is junk and was looking for a cheap alternative. Can I possibly make up for this with tire size. I'm running 18's now and get hung up on the swing arm skid plate alot so I was thinking of going up a size or two there.

Sorry, posted this in the wrong topic. Home sick from work and not all therejava script:add_smilie("","smid_31")

The R6 shock is mainly good for when you extend your swinger out quite a ways. It is valved stiff enough for a +8 or +10 swinger. If you ever tried to put a stock shock on one of these longer swingers, you would know what I am talking about. I tried a stocker on a +10 and it was so soft my ass would damn near hit the ground when I launched. It does lower your bike, but there are several ways to take care of that if need be.
