blackedout96 Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 I bought a used set of VF2's and am having a little trouble. I know that there is a high and low setting that needs to be matched on both sides(high or low to be "up" on both sides). My problem is, it looks like someone replaced the pedals and put them back together wrong. one cage has high on both sides and the other has low on both sides. Does anyone know, is there anything else I can look at to be sure they are both put in correctly so they are matched on both cylinders? Thanks in advance for any help!! Quote
ledofthezep Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Got any pics? Not all too familiar with that particular setup, however; if I could see what the hell you're talking about that would help, I'm sure you'd see more feedback. You're not riding it the way it is, are you? Quote
blackedout96 Posted March 3, 2009 Author Report Posted March 3, 2009 Ya I've been riding it the way it is.... does act funny at low rpm. here are the pictures. Quote
tony cub Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 if i'm not mistaken, the low and high is just to put more force on the pedal..if you put it on low it doesnt get as much force as on high..i would put them all on high.. Quote
ledofthezep Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 I'd say they don't look too bad. Did you do anything with the jetting when you changed the reads? Checked the compression by chance? Quote
J.J. Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 For sure the reed stops have to be the same way up on both cages. Feel free to experiment with High & Low. I've tried them both ways and felt no difference. There was a post here a long time ago about losing those retaining screws, be careful, you don't wanna suck those through your motor. Quote
blackedout96 Posted March 3, 2009 Author Report Posted March 3, 2009 Cool, thanks for all the help guys. I'll see what I can do with this. Quote
jbooker82 Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 You want them all on high. The reeds wont last long on low. josh Quote

Put a dab of LOCKTITE on those screws and let it dry before you put it all back together, Quote
