2001Stroker Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 Pull the head, and replace the head gasket. Make sure you clean the mating surfaces real good. Get all the old gasket off. Anybody can do it in 30 minutes tops. Quote

Screaming Yellow Zonker Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 While you have the head off I would check the cylinders for any cracks (even though it is highly unlikely) but it just takes another min or two... Quote

2001Stroker Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Whoa, wait a minute. I was under the impression that you had a stock head. My bad man. If you have a Trinity Stage IV head, then you need to get the o-ring kit for it. Either from Trinity, or maybe eBay. O-rings just blowing out is not as common as a stock head gasket blowing. I'd take the head completely off, have it checked for straightness and cracks, and see if an o-ring was pinched during original installation. It's also possible that you're a little lean, got too hot, and melted the red o-ring. Just a few thoughts. BTW, there's no such thing as a dual stator plate. Maybe he meant an adjustable stator plate. Quote
