mccustomize Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 ok well I have searched and searched and searched with no luck, does anyone have any good info on where to gusset a banshee frame? I just had mine sandblasted and I am going to make new mounts for my YFZ shocks and arms but wanted to make sure I address any other areas that need attention. Quote

If you want to get me sketches of the gussets that you want (when you decide on where you want them) I can laser cut them for you at a great price.. Im actually trying to develop a gusset kit right now, but havent had the time to dive into it completely. Let me know if I can help you out! -JD Quote

mccustomize Posted February 11, 2009 Author Report Posted February 11, 2009 that's all great info guys but I'm specifically looking for known weak points in the stock frame that need attention, but 87sheerips I might be hitting you up to get a custome grill cut Quote

Snopczynski Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 I just go over all the old welds with a mig and re-weld everything on the bike. Alot of the factory welds don completely surround the tubes or brackets. Some dont even penetrate the steel all that much. Quote

I have all the factory gussets cut out and the piece in front of the motor cut right above the motor mounts. Ive launched it off the top of comp hill in glamis and cart wheeled it down the drag strip and its still straight. What im trying to say is the stock frame is pretty strong. Quote
