dajogejr Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Slam the bike, shorten the rear arm....and are you over studded with those tires. Some rubber has to hit the ice...otherwise you're "skating" on the studs. Then learn to slip the clutch out slower and pick the next gear faster. Quote
BellicoseBanshee Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Maybe I missed it, but what kind of tire are you studding? Quote
motodrumer58 Posted February 12, 2009 Author Report Posted February 12, 2009 (edited) I run cheng shin 826 with one stud in each knobby Edited February 13, 2009 by motodrumer58 Quote
NOS_350x Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Soften up your suspension, this will get you some weight transfer and will help ALOT on the starts. Let the swaybar do its job. Quote
fasstbanshee Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 looks like your pretty much there just try to shorten that swinger -2 thats in my future Quote

motodrumer58 Posted February 16, 2009 Author Report Posted February 16, 2009 Here is the finished set up for the national ice races. The problem is I am not sure if I am going to be able to practice before Sat race. I will be able to take a couple hot laps on the 1/2 mile track. I am lowered 3 inches in the front and I have a lowering kit in the back in the stock position with a r6 shock. I have 3 inch spacers in front and back. ( i am thinking about taking the spacers off the back) this is my concern -2 swingarm 15/40 gearing Sway bar Any thoughts on the set up thanks for the help Quote
