VWMIKE Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 As well don't forget while the main jet may only affect say 3/4-full, the needle position and taper control the 1/4-3/4 throttle positions. Anyone who has messed with jetting can tell you if you go richer on the mains without touching the needles, you've also richened the mid range. The needles effectively regulate how much the bigger main jet flows, so if the jet flows more, the needle is letting in more fuel than with a smaller jet. Hope that makes sense. Quote
