het guys I got a lil dilema, Ive been having problems getting my bike to run good the last two trips to Glamis.

its always a bitch to start so I took the carbs apart to clean them and noticed that the carb with the choke on it

has a small brass tube that comes down parallel to the main jet tube, but the other carb doesnt- is this normal

or am I missing a piece thanx :thanks:

Yes that is normal, only the choke side needs one, but sometimes they both have it. All it is for is the fuel supply to the choke. Make sure that the choke side has a air jet in the carb bowl. One bowl has a plug, and the other has a threaded in jet at the bottom of the casting that that tube goes into. You can take it out like any air bleed, and clean it really good to make sure it is getting fuel to the choke circuit.

Holy crap I just checked for the jet in the bowl and my bowls were on the wrong carbs, thank you for that.

will bowls switched around cause bike to run bad?

probably not all the bowl does is store gas. if you change the gas tank on your car its not gonna make a diffrence. but then agian im not an expert

The one bowl has a feed port for the choke, the other side its blocked off. It will render the choke useless, and make starting a real chore. That is probably most of your problem.

Well I guess that makes sense
