The one Im taking my stuff to does sand blasting, a 5 stage wash, and uses the high quality zinc self etching primer... he charges 180-200 for the frame, 30 for the swinger and 10-15 for any other little nick nack parts so 200-300 depending on what all your getting done Quote

grpark20 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 I got everything done on mine for $600. Total of 43 pieces including frame. Everything was trashed becaused It was a trail bike. So bead blasting, primed, and powdered. I know its not the best price in my opinion, but worth every penny to me. The coat is on really thick to the point where when I put on my brake line clamps they didn't spin with the bolt/screw in......Oh this was a one day turn around at my shop too....nothing extra for that. Bansh-eman Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 Checkout Olympic Coatings in Escondido. She is right off the 78 near the 15. She did all my shit, frame bars, linkage, spindles, all 4 wheel hubs, both axle hubs, all three brake calipers, and i feel like i am missing somehting for like 300 and change. she blasted, plugged and powdered all of it, thats a silver base and a candy blue coat. http://www.olycoatings.com/ Quote
boneyardbanshee. Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 those are all pretty good prices. Remember that most of the cost involved is in the prep. It is also the most time consuming. A previously powder coated item will take longer aswell. See if you can get the price down by doing some of the prep yourself. Quote
candybanshee Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 whats good everybody just joined. i just handed my frame over to bonehead powder coating in pa. they are hitting me for 300 for the frame. it is normally 200 but i got a candy color so it is 50 % more cause it is basically powder coating twice.
