i take the stock spring on the detent lever and grind some it off all the way around.. makes it a little softer.. don't get it too thin though..

firebanshee, when you grind em down yourself do you grind much outa the neutral section? from the pics they look pretty much the same at the points between 1 and 2 where neutral is. i got one apart right now and i just wanna make it a little easier to go into neutral so thats why im asking. i may go ahead and round them off everywhere else too a little. so theres now draw back to doing it?

I leave the edges sharp but i grind out the half moon part a little wider and deeper.

Just a heads up... Leave the edges on the neutral cog somewhat sharp (like the pic) or neutral is hard to find :cool:

Or just get a neutral down option and override...hehe
