banshee_guy_05 Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 hey all, i have been searching and asking questions to everyone i can think of and i think i finally decided i want to go with a 4mill stroker motor. Now i have a few questions that you guys may be able to answer. I want to make alot of low-mid range power without hurting my top end power. My cylinders have already had a mild trail/mx port and work great so far and are really smoothe. I am going to go with the hot rods stroker crank with wiseco stroker crank pistons. First question is do i have to have that spacer plate? Secondly do i need to re-port my cylinders? and last what is the best pipe for me to use? I am running gnarly's right now and like them but am not totally inlove with them so im thinking of going another way. didnt know if one was better for the stroker? Quote
FASTOYS Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 Your cylinders will need to be looked at and see how far the transfers and other ports are moved to make sure they are not to radical for a 4mm. Most likely they can be used but we wont know till they are checked out. A 4mm motor will not need a spacer plate if ported correctly and used with cut domes. Give me a call if you would like to discuss a build and i will discuss different pipes vs porting configurations. Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 stay away from spacer plate setups. do it right, have your cylinders ported and run the correct domes. call FAST up there, he can get you set up. Quote
