Handyman Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 the octane rating to use all depends on your compression....I have a PV motor with a set up very similar to yours and I run 174psi...I run straight race gas because of the high compression. Some will say a 50/50 mix of 110/113 and 93/91 octane. If i remember correcctly....anything above 160psi is race gas only but I could be wrong. Quote

What is your elevation? at sea level you would need to at least mix 50/50, 93octane/race gas Quote

dajogejr Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 that link from 2001 stroker is broken...but compression ratio and timing dictate the need for more fuel. Not cranking compression (checked with a spark plug reader)... Unless you know your compression ratio...you are guessing...which can be overly safe or smoke a motor... Quote
