I have an 05 banshee and when you first start it up shee doesn't like to idle, you have to constantly give it some gas to keep it running. But once it has been running a lil while it idles fine. Should I be worried?

how cod is it? what mods? how hard to start? where are your airscrews set at? you may be lean for the temp. if so, move the needle 1 clip twards the point of the needle. but first, sync your carbs. and always resync them whenever you pull the slides out.

I just got the bike not to long ago and all i can tell is pipes and boost bottle, I live in Virginia, and the guy I bought it from lives here also, its not that cold around here, i rode it when it was still warm outside and it still did it until the bike was warm.

What do you do to sync the carbs?

What do you do to re-jett it?

its beacause the bike is cold. see when it first starts it sends radiator fluid straight through the motor and it cools it down rate away. and its hard for the motor to keep combusting. so when u get the radiator fluid hot and warm it will idle fine it should at least.

First. You are going to need some new intakes. I am willing to bet that your boost bottle has something to do with your currently lean condition. You can get those here ... http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=190 ... Exspensive? A little, but you'll never have to worry about buying another set ever again.

Then, you need this ... http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=59 ... Which will help you out immensly.

Then you should come back here and tell us what's up.

diggin the new avitar wesw  on the top right of each carb, there is a little window (about 1/4" round) when you bring it up to wide open, silver dots should appear at the same time. if not, adjust the cables so that they do (push in the metal stem while you turn the screw) next, they should stop at the bottom at the same time. adjust with the idle screws. make sure the air screws are the same number of turns out, usually 1.5 turns out. i'm guessin that whoever put the pipes on, didn't re-jet it afterwards. find ou what they are and get back to us, or go to the website for aproximate jetting. but ther is probably a post in the jetting and exhaust forum that already answered that question, so do a search.

You could just leave the choke half way out until the bike is warmed up,i have to do this on cold days.I think that is what that half way detent is for on your choke.

mine doesn't stay verry long, but i used to hold it and put along a bit.
