Banshee_350_Twin Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 I blew up my engine today and it seems that i need to replace the crankshaft. im thinking of replacing the crankshaft with 1-hotrods +4mm 115mmrods 2-hotrods longrods shaft stock stroke 3-Stock all of them are trued and welded i ride for long hours non stop, which one is most relaiable. which crank do you think is the best for me if i chose to increase the stroke is it a must to do some porting Quote
Paddleboy Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 if you got the money i'd do a 4 mill. you dont need to do porting if you get the spacer to move the intake and exhuast ports Quote

vulvafan537240 Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 if the kit comes with a spacer plate, you do not need to mill the head or have stroker domes. the spacer plate is what i am using until i get my jugs ported or get a cheetah or cub. ive had it for about 6 months now. no problems. Quote

RIPPEN Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 I blew up my engine today and it seems that i need to replace the crankshaft. im thinking of replacing the crankshaft with 1-hotrods +4mm 115mmrods 2-hotrods longrods shaft stock stroke 3-Stock all of them are trued and welded i ride for long hours non stop, which one is most relaiable. which crank do you think is the best for me if i chose to increase the stroke is it a must to do some porting Dude Iam telling ya now if yo got the few extra bucks to have it ported and such do it.. Its deffinatly "cheaper" to go the e-bay route and base plate and all but in the long run its much better to get your stuff from a reputable builder and have it ported for the 4mill and your riding needs.. I had Jeff at F.A.S.T. Racing do all my port and motor work and Iam very happy with how it runs.. The 4mill is deffinatly the way to go and is a huge difference. BUT put the proper portwork with it and its that much better... Just food for thought.. Otherwise if you do just decide to get parts Jeff can help you there to.. He has TONS of stuff in stock and unlike e-bay is able to answere questions.. Good luck! RIPPEN Quote
