Misssppelllleddd Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 What are some good things to consider when preparing my 'shee for storage? Would fuel stabilizer be okay to use on 112 octane fuel? Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 just drain the fuel out of your bike. Quote
INFINITIED Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 after a few month the octaine will start to drop off . that goes the same if you own a drum. once you break the seal you have a season to use it ... (then the octaine strarts to drop off ) just drain it , its only 2 1/2 gallons anyway ... 2 months is fine , anything more .. .. dump it .. Quote
AKheathen Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 the parts store has moisture caps that you put in the spark plug holes. when i take it out of storage, i like to mix up some 1:1. pour a little through the holes, turn it over slowly, then a little more, put the plugs in and fire it up. jamebo Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 I heard it prevents that from happening..... that's why I started using it. Man I hope it doesn't plug my carbs Quote
TJScott Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 keep it out of the sun (plastic fade), maybe put a cover on it, maybe put some blocks under it, relieve your supension, clean out your carbs, and drop a little oil in your cylinder, do it again when its time to start. Quote
