T_Shee Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 well i tried a search bud didnt find what i was looking for so here we go. i would like to get new rear tires for christmas and im not sure what to get. im not getting razrs because thats whats on there now and there maybe a little less than half life and they suck major balls. i heard good things about kenda knarly but i cant find them in 10". so i was thinking about kenda klaws. my other thoughts were razr 2's or holeshots but those two seem really expensive. i just ride trails in the woods and i need to hook up a lot better than i am now. and i dont wanna throw some big ugly ass tire on there just for traction because i want it to look good too. i know tires have been covered a lot but id like to here some newer opinions. 2001Stroker Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 For some reason, nobody on here believes me when I say that the Maxxis iRazr's are bad ass. They are 6-ply, and hold up very well in the woods. They also bite their ass off. People on here say, "Well, the wear out fast". Bullshit. I've had mine for about 9 months, and ride very arrgessive trail. I would say that they're around 85% tread. Best woods tire that I've had, hands down. Quote
T_Shee Posted December 1, 2008 Author Report Posted December 1, 2008 thanks ill check those out too. Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 For a trail tire I rock the Titan Fast trekkers. They bite like a mofo and have been the longest lasting tire by far. Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 switch rim sizes. there are far more tire choices for a 9 inch rim than a 10 inch. kenda knarly is a better tire than the klaw. ive run them both and currently run knarlys.. i-razrs are overpriced and way too fuckin heavy. i had a set and i thought they wore pretty quickly. fast trekkers are a pretty good tire, but i think youre gonna have a hard time finding them. plus you wont find them in a 10 inch rim size. knarlys are the best way to go, but you need to switch rim sizes. just get you a tire and wheel package from rmatv. seabass Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 (edited) I LOVE my Kenda Gnarly 6-ply rears. They hook up great, never had a puncture, reasonably priced and are wearing great. When I ordered my fronts, I did alot of research and they didn't have the 6-ply Gnarly fronts yet. They said the front 4-ply Klaws where run in a dessert rally and held up great. WELL, I ordered them. Nobody, including who I ordered them from, mentioned the side walls are only 2-ply. These are the worst front tires I've ever owned in my life. They have more punctures then a pin cushion and they're atleast 95% tread. I'm going to stud them and use them on the ice this winter. I don't know about the rears but the fronts are garbage for trails. Like I said, the rear Gnarlys are great. Just my opinion. Edited December 1, 2008 by seabass Quote

seabass Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 (edited) Good point also Loco. Lighter than my friends Razrs that I tried out. Buy some used rims off here and sell your 10's. Edited December 1, 2008 by seabass Quote
