Badapwned Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 I got a guy that said he would PC my A-arms for $10 - $20 an arm. Is this to much? The arms are already sandblasted. Wuch ya think? Quote
Badapwned Posted November 19, 2008 Author Report Posted November 19, 2008 about 25 each. STOCK ONES? Ya, stock arms, just a standard blue color Quote
NYUK Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 better ask how the powder will be cured by lights or an oven. an oven will destroy the ball joints. Quote

2001Stroker Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 I just posted a thread about this setup. I'm thinking about using it for my smaller parts. http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?itemID=...=475&KICKER Quote

jbooker82 Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Any recommended paint coatings? I just painted the insert of my AC Dirt Screen bumper with Krylon Wrinkle paint. It is tough stuff. A wrinkle or hammer finish paint is going to be about the toughest paint your going to be able to find. Quote

I think it would be a amazing investment for an bike overhaul and save a lot of $ too. The only thing that wouldnt fit in a house oven would be the frame. Also could start a lil business on the side. Im gonna order one I think Quote

BansheeRider87 Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Its at lowes. Its spray paint and its the cap of the can is like bumpy. Not smooth like normal spray paint. Quote
Badapwned Posted November 20, 2008 Author Report Posted November 20, 2008 (edited) Its at lowes. Its spray paint and its the cap of the can is like bumpy. Not smooth like normal spray paint. Ahh well, that sounds a like a good idea....Is the final product smooth though? Anyways, after making an executive decision, I decided spray paint is good enough. I mean cmon, this thing is by no means a show bike. Hell, its not even a dunes bike, Im going to be hitting trees and everything else in the woods. So, I blasted down to white metal, put on three coats of primer and 3,490,834,092 coats of enamel. If it wasn't dripping or near dripping, I decided there wasn't enough paint on them lol. All in all, they turned out good, I'm still waiting for them to dry. They are glossy as can be. One more thing, what is the factory coating on banshee parts? Is it dipped, powder coated???? 87sheerips Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 I powdercoat in a variety of colors. Stockers we cannot do because of the ball joints. $15 an arm plus shipping. let me know if I can help! Quote
