stator help

Recommended Posts

So like a dumbass i forgot to mark or even look at the position the stator was at when i tore the engine down. I dont think it had any timing advance on it to begin with but not sure. Whats the easiest way to get it back to the right timing setting without having to buy a timing adjuster or is it jus worth it to buy the adjuster and advance it. The manual isnt very helpfull. thanks

So i can jus bolt it back up in whatever postion it sits in and not have to worry about what the timing is at? Not worried about if it does advance it at all i jus dont want to retard it.

turning the plate clockwise to the end of the slot advances it an turning it counter clockwise retards it.
