After having your frame sandblasted and painted or powdercoated what do you do about the vin numbers???

I heard that you have to get it re-stamped is this true and how would i go about this???

please help guys..

you can still see it.. dont worry about it

depends what color type and thickness of powder, some cover it completely. some it shows through. the only way to be sure is to mask it .

Your the only person i know that cares about that vin number...lol

 

I'm sure different states are different, nut in NY/NJ, some cops will put you through hell if you arent up on your paperwork.

never heard of this.they are lazered or dot matrixed. you can restamp it yourself with letter and number punches.

I don't even have a number on my frame though i did buy it off ebay. Now the frame i had when it was stock is at Kiels house in Wyoming so i'm sure my title and paperwork says that same number on it but matches the number on the motor.
