gerry Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 hello all , i bought a banshee with an rz top end....just wondering ifanyone knows how to hook up the power valves , cause they're not hooked up...still have stock banshee wiring harness , Can anyone tell me what all do i need? ,and how do i hook it up?cyl's are stamped-YPVS...top of power valve on left side has 2 bolts,no cables running to it , or wires....?? BenBB Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 That round powervalve housing should have a plastic cam thing for the cable ends and it should be secured to the powervalves (which should turn freely), there should be two cables going to a servo motor, and wiring from the motor to the PV control box...and of course ya gotta have RZ stator/flywheel, CDI, voltage regulator and battery (or eliminator). Banshee harness ain't gonna cut it without some heavy modification, and unless you use a zeeltronic PV controller/CDI the Banshee stator isn't gonna work either (someone correct me if I'm wrong but last I heard you could get away with Banshee stator and zeeltronic boxes). It can be done, but as was stated before...there are parts you need to install that you don't have. Ebay is a good source for what you need, or a crashed out RZ350 would be a good find for you too. Maybe the easiest thing woul be to find a set of Banshee cylinders and voila!! You can hit the trail!! The question is...do you have a Banshee or RZ350 bottom end? I believe the stator, gearing, oil injection pump, and other small stuff is different between the two so maybe you should figure that out first. Quote

Doing so will allow you to use 80% of the stock connectors for the Rectifier, PC Control motor and CDI box. I mounted all of these in the rear of the bike and it is well hidden. The mod isn't that bad and it all depend how neet you want the appearance. I recall there being a post on here called "banshee gods" that should give you the whole schematic. If you need pics I will get you some. With the RZ it is very important to have the powervalves working. If they are stationed in an open position you will have horrble low end Chris Quote

If they are stationed in an open position you will have horrble low end Chris hey can u get me pics it runs but iam goin to rebuild cause have 50 psi in one cylinder,i bought bike couple yrs ago and it had ypvs cylinders but the power vavle is not hook up ,if u could help with pics of someone who did this would be nice thanks gerry Quote
