krauss4 Posted October 18, 2008 Report Share Posted October 18, 2008 i have a 4 mill banshee with shears pipes in frames and 35mm carbs port work bout 80 hp and im running 20 inch gncc rear tires with a 38 rear sprocket and 15t front just downsized from a 16 to a 16 and now the 15 and have a hard time leaving in 2nd without losing the power band i used to be able to hit it every time with stock carbs and t6 pipes it definatly runs good everywhere else but cant get her outa the hole. i donno if the tires hook really well and i got a new farm and sand toys clutch and its not slipping at all or what but i dont wanna gear down any more but what else can i do to get her to get out of the hole? Have you just tried coming out in 1st then? because with that gearing it would be like 2nd wouldn't it? I had 13/39 and it didn't like 2nd gear out the hole compared to the 14/41. Stellar Performance Posted October 19, 2008 Report Share Posted October 19, 2008 That is some really tall gearing to try to launch from 2nd gear. Even that you are using 20" tires, GNCC tires are usually quite heavy to be able to take the terrain.
