Tim Potteiger Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 I run a motion pro twist throttle. I don't know if it's the "best", but it works as well as any. Quote

Tim Potteiger Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 If your riding woods.... You will go back to thumb  I ride MX tracks, woods, and mostly Little Sahara in Oklahoma, and I love my twist and I can barely stand to ride a thumb throttle bike now. It took a few hours of riding to get real comfortable with it, but now I wouldn't go back if someone paid me. To each his own though I suppose. Quote
acfine Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 2 weeks ago I took my twist throttle off and went back to a thumb throttle. My 'shee is my second quad, and my Tecate 4 had a twist throttle as well. All I've ever ridden is dirt bikes, meaning I'm quite used to the twist throttle. I LOVED my twist throttle, but I ride tight trails, and MX style and in the event something goes wrong, you have a much better chance at opening your quad to wide open or close to it if it gets away from you if you have a twist throttle. After one hour of riding, I wanted my twist throttle back, BUT, it is a "getting used to" thing, and I had a spill not too long ago, and having the twist throttle made the situation go from bad to worse. Initial wreck: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...st&p=866877 Exhaust burn: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...st&p=866909 How it happened: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...st&p=877639 Just my $.02... Good luck, Anthony Quote
