sangheraent Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 my banshee and my yfz both have the same problem banshee pulls hard right yfz pulls hard left when I brake the harder I brake the harder it pulls then the one tire just stops and the others spinning totally fine. I have no idea why it would do this? air pressure brake pads are even on both sides. Quote

dirtfreak Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 you sure you don't have someone playing with your brake bleeders.sounds really strange that you have 2 quads doing the same thing. Quote
jbooker82 Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 If your pads are still good then take a belt sander to them. Just lightly touch the friction material side on a belt sander. Your pads could be glazed on one side. When they get glazed they dont bite as hard. The become kind of slick. Quote
Paddleboy Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 for sure a pad/fluid issue Quote
sinisterboo Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 I have had the slider bolts get all rusty on me causing a similar thing Quote

First thing is to make sure that your pads have not been contaminated with oil. The oily one usually locks up first. That being said, you probably have a sticking caliper...either the brake piston or pins are gunked up and not allowing free movement. Wire wheel the pins, grease them up and see if that makes a difference, otherwise a caliper seal kit is in your future. Edited October 1, 2008 by jayzx750 Quote
