I know its something stupid i have owned so many atvs, snowmobiles and bikes and this one has got me stumped. Please let me know what they say im going to keep on searching. Quote
Paddleboy Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 what needle clip are you at? Quote
pr0blumz Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 You most likely have an air leak. Do you have a boost bottle and did you put new plugs in? Quote
botlfed306 Posted September 23, 2008 Author Report Posted September 23, 2008 3rd position and yes new plugs b8es @.28 Quote
pr0blumz Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 No boost bottle Have you checked the intake boots for cracks? Quote
botlfed306 Posted September 23, 2008 Author Report Posted September 23, 2008 Yes they look like they are in great shape. I just started it and it was a bitch to fire but i ran like shit for about 10 sec the left pipe was hotter than the right pipe dont know if that matters sice it only ran for such a short time. Quote
2-stroke_couch Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 yea i did, br8es and a white bros... im pretty sure its an air leak too. i just took it in this morning. i did my carbs all over too but the needle i forgot. and the same with me i cant find for sure whats doing it. i sparayed everywhere with carb cleaner to find the leak and i checked the boost bottle and it was all sealed. they should call soon or tomarow. ill post when i find out. and mine only start by covering a carb until it starts. pr0blumz Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Turn your airscrews all in the way in. That should make it easier to crank and should let you find an airleak by sprayin starting fluid around the intake boots, around the head, and cylinders base gasket. Quote
banshee#44 Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 i had the same problem just go through your carbs and clean out your needle jets with carb cleaner if that doesnt work just clean out all your jets and if that doesnt work. well i dont know lol Quote
pr0blumz Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Yeah a good carb cleaning would help and a compression test too. Quote
2-stroke_couch Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 dont mean to steel the thread but i have done that and i have good compression in both cylinders but the left side is running better than the right. its weird man. i got tired of it so i just took it in. Quote
