POORBOY350 Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 hey everyone i just got my banshee yesterday. it is fine wish i could post some pics but idk how to resize. but anyway.... it has cheetah cub cylinders with 4mil stroke and 68mm prolite wiseco pistons, cool head 20cc domes, 35pwks, ect ect. everything is in my sig. but im wondering what the best exhaust is to let this baby breathe!!! i think these pt mids are holding it back. so what is the best pipe for a cub. also it seems to be real hard to downshift and upshift sometimes like the clutch isnt ingaging all the way or something. do yal have any ideas on this??? it is 1 down 5 up so i dont think it has an override in it. thanks for any input. oh yea... god i love this thing!!! its beautiful! lol sorry couldnt help myself. sinisterboo Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Either Shearer's or CPI's. I have cpi's myself, but I havent got to try shearers yet, so I cant say which is better. But I can tell you there are lots of cubs running em. Quote
BlntdEyez Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Not of big fan of the plastics but i like the look of the Paul turners. Quote
POORBOY350 Posted September 22, 2008 Author Report Posted September 22, 2008 yea i know they really dont look that bad from the front. but i'd much rather some full bores trust me. and yes i love the ''look'' of the pts also. they are very clean looking different but i think they hold the cub back dont you? POORBOY350 Posted September 22, 2008 Author Report Posted September 22, 2008 any idea what kinda radiator that is? oh yea thanks for the info on how to post some pics up ima bout to posts some Quote

Yea on that motor they are holding it back. They are better for a midrange motor. Nice bike man. Quote
POORBOY350 Posted September 22, 2008 Author Report Posted September 22, 2008 preciate it man. i love it Quote
Snopczynski Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Looks like its setup for trails and track, so it needs low-mid pipes if thats the case. Whats the porting on it setup at? Is it stock cheetah or has it been raised, or resleeved and lowered? So, again, we need to know what the main purpose of the bike is, and where the motorwork is setup to provide an accurate answer on the pipe situation. Looks like a torchworks radiator. Quote
dajogejr Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 To add to what is said above, it has a lockout cover, does it have a lockout clutch installed (Glass is hazy, can't see) If it has a lockout and the tranny is not cut for override, good luck shifting that motor. As is, tuned...that bike should be putting out mid 80s to low 90s HP. A dunable override is BEGGING to go in that bike. CPIs and Shearers are probably the most common pipes for Cubs...they work.... But if that's a trail bike, it'll be more than a handful...which, by the looks of it...it's not a drag bike.... I bet it's fun to ride in the dunes and is a nice, comfy bike. Quote
POORBOY350 Posted September 22, 2008 Author Report Posted September 22, 2008 i doubt i will be doing much trail riding with it or track riding. not really sure what ill be doing with it prob lil of all of it. but when it opens up man i can tell it def has more potential. but as far as porting and all the guy i got it from had it built and doesnt know that much about it. he said the gears were cut and it has lockout and hinson clutch components in it. he started building it for motocross but then found it just isnt made for it so he said lets build a bad motor in it but he told the builder to keep it as reliable as posible. i havent even rode it much but it is very cush and smooth bike. cant wait to g3et it to the dunes! but i dont see it being a trail or track bike at all just alot to keep on the trail. are all ''override'' trannies neutral down 5 up or can it be 1 down 5 up? mine is 1 down 5 up. i adjusted the cable a lil bit today and it seemed to shift alot better. still takes longer than i want to grab the next gear ya know. thanks for the input guys. im trying to learn all i can about it. dajogejr Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Unless you want to make it a strict drag bike, leave it as is...and get some CPI inframe pipes for it. Overrides can be cut to just about any combo. Nuetral down, nuetral in the middle...but you want a dunable if you go override. And with a dunable....you can't have 6th gear yet... I know WCR is working on a dunable 1-6...but, last I heard and read, it's not quite ready yet. 1-5 dunable would be my choice, it's what I run in my drag bike, but I use Nuetral down....just my personal preference. jbooker82 Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 What about a 1-5 dunalbe witha manual 6th? Quote
