Ok guys, right now she's running 34 PJ's. Wont idle at all and I'm kinda getting sick of it...

Mods are in the sig, it hauls MAJOR ass right now but I'm thinking of trying a different set of carbs.

Also thinking about going to OOF shearers...

So, how do you guys think a set of 39mm air strykers would work?

Buddy has a set I might try to see if I like them.

Also would you do BB Shearer OOF's, or small?

Thanks

lower your pilot and recheck the carb sync

You mean to make them idle? Everyone I've talked to said PJ's wont idle on methanol.

I'm not really trying to get them to idle, they run good right now so I dont want to mess with the tuning. Just want to know if a different size carb would run better, power wise...

Keihen PWK's, Mikuni TM's, Lectrons

Those are your most common.

I am running the TM's because they are more common with the guys I ride with, so if i need parts I can get them while riding if I dont have them.

Any of the three will run great. Go with what you can afford and what parts are ezer to get. Just remember that the PWK's once drilled can not go back, where the other two can.

I run Mikuni TMX's on my drag bike with alcohol as the fuel type. They do not require a fuel pump with my Pingel valve. :geek:

PJs won't idle on methanol....nice one...

Talk to new people that have a clue on how carbs work and how to tune them.

Put 39 PWK or 40mm Lectrons on it....a 4 mil drag bike will handle that big of a carb all day long on methanol.

Then again...maybe you should ask the folks that can't get PJs to idle what carb to run...

Like usual...your stupidity has taken over....

I for one could tell you how to get them to idle....but like the rest of your website antics...you're too fucking stupid to listen.

A Lot of people have told you that...sure. 1 or two has...and no matter what people post here, you're still going to listen to them...

Wes could very easily help you as well...he's very good with the PJs.

Now go fuck yourself.

Woah, simmer down on the name callin Gregrob, Dajog would be the first to help you if treated with respect. As said before you are more than welcome to email, pm, call, whatever me ("the builder") and i will be glad to help you or make recommendations. And yes bigger carbs will help out if setup correctly.

ive seen the bike idle when kurt had it so i know it will idle on alky.

your in bfe air you going to need to lower the pilot down some and re sync pj are really easy to tune and honestly easier to adjust than pwk cause of the idle knob being on top of the carbs nice and easy to adjust.

if your going big carbs and pure drag race get some 40mm hv lectrons. beyond easy to adjust and nice carbs but $$$$.
