i have a 2006 banshee 350 2 stroke and there are two hoses that are not connected to anything on the front brake side of the quad about right under the plastic for the gas tank. oil will just spill out and my quad has a loss of power. what can this be?? i first took my quad to a repair shop because it had a loss of power so they cleaned the carbs and then when i got the quad back it still had a loss of power and it was spilling oil from those two hoses. does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?? i tried to be as specific as possible. please help thanks

ill take some pics and post them up asap

those are breather hoses from the cases, you might be filling up with water. the water will sit below the oil so you wont see water come out. The poor running may be from clutch slippage from water, poor lube, and hot motor. Just a guess

Dump the oil and see if theres water in it or if the oil has any white creamy look to it. If so you prob need some new o rings on the clutch cover or an impeller seal.

Just took my 02 Banshee down to the shop for the VERY same reason. Happened last Sunday changed a few seals as told by a shop then tried to run her one more time to see if that worked nope oil came out of those hoses again.

Will not hit power band after 2nd gear and oil just pouring out of the two hoses.

Getting the compression check, seals etc. Not sure what is wrong sounds like it will be a pretty penny to fix. But worth not blowing a motor and going to take our very first trip to Clamis in Oct.

You find out what it is post I will be checking for answers to this.

There are a couple of reasons to why you bike would be spilling out tranny fluid. One would be that the tranny is over filled. Two would be that you have a bad crank seal that's causing pressure in the cases therefore making tranny fluid flow out of the overflow. Three would be that your water pump seal went bad and is filling your cases up with water.

First things to check. Does your oil look normal or does it look like its mixed with water?

If it looks good the next thing you should do is a leak down test.

The loss of power could be because its getting hot. What temp does your bike run at?

Could also be a blown head gasket.

There's lots of possible reasons.

water in youre oil will look milky white. That means the water pump seal is bad. If not, is the level correct on the oil and hopefully the crank hasnt blown a seal, pressuring up the tranny.

On my bike the fluid is clear no white anything. As for temp, it wasn't ran less then 5 minutes and it did this.

Bike runs a little over 190 in temp.

Do need a new cage on it the needle is not setting all the way down when at rest.

Anyone got an extra 1.21 GIGAWATTS setting around might be able to get my Banshee going again with it. Maybe even cheaper then what the shop is going to run to split the case on my shee. :verymad:
