KA Phil Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 hey guys, new to the site, and to owning a banshee... i just got it a couple of weeks ago and it had no spark. coil tested bad, so i bought a new one...and still no spark. turned screws on TORS clockwise and got spark. bought TORS elimination kit, but havent installed yet. also have one stage hotter plugs in it. new problem... went to badlands this past saturday and had all kinds of problems. first i noticed that i had very little compression in left cylinder. but i did not foul the plug. then i noticed later on, that if i get on it pretty hard and just give it hell, trans fluid spews out of the breather tube by steering shaft. i checked fluid level, topped it off and set out again. this time it was much more fluid spewing out and a giant smoke cloud behind me (both from tail pipe and from where fluid dripped on motor) whats the deal here? i called my buddy who is a honda mechanic...he said maybe reeds, maybe bad crank seal what are your thoughts??? thanks Quote
Keyser Soze Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 I was at the badlands this weekend. Thought I had the only peice of shit out there for a second. Have you done a compression test yet? Id at least re ring and hone it. Quote

LS1Inferno Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 sounds like you have and air leak in the cases on the left side, you likely need to tear it down and see what the issue is. Quote
dajogejr Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 Low compression in the cylinders will NOT cause it to spit tranny fluid out the overflow. Three things will. Overfull, vent plugged, or bad crank seal. Check compression, do a leak down test... Use a QUALITY compression tester. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 bad crank seal. That's what I'm voting on!!! Quote
KA Phil Posted September 3, 2008 Author Report Posted September 3, 2008 i am betting on bad crank seal also Quote
