I have some red banshee shocks that are in good shape. I will take $25 plus shipping. Or I also have some stock raptor shocks that are red that I will sell for 80 plus shipping, but they are a 1/2 inch longer than banshee / warrior. Much better shock that stock banshee though. I will PM you.

I have a banshee crank that is in good condition, but was replaced due to small end rod play being at .050. That spec is still considered good by the clymers manual but I built a ported motor and did not want to take any chances so I bought a new Wiseco. I will sell you mine for $60 shipped anywhere in the lower 48. Turbo J.

I need a lower right a-arm. Is the ball joint good in the one you have. How much shipped to 52722... Any chance you would have a spare choke assembly for the stock carbs. I will PM you also...Thanks

Hey guys a buddy of mine needs to borrow a set of my wheels with paddles for his raptor. Because the bolt pattern is different between my 89 hubs and the raptor hubs can I just lend him the axle hub and have it fit correctly on the raptor axle? Thanks

I am having a very similar issue. I just finished putting a moose carb re-build kit in my banshee because the needle valve and seat where worn and it would drip gas. Anyway now the stinking thing will not start cold but will with some starting fluid. When I was replacing the jets I checked all of the numbers on them and I am pretty sure they were all the same. I left my 290 mains in though. When you guys say pilot jet do you mean the jet that the needle slides in or the little jet next to the main jet. I also took the choke assemble out to clean it. It had a bunch of grit in there. I think it is possible that my choke assembly unit is worn. I do have the cross-over tube in place. What do you guys think, can that unit be replaced by itself. The bike started real easy before the carb rebuild so I know compression and reeds are good. It does idle great after warmed up though. Thanks

Banshee Jetting for Little Sahara Oklahoma
Turbo J replied to Turbo J's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Thanks for the feedback guys.... -
Hey Guys, I am headed to Little Sahara State park in Oklahoma over Thanksgiving weekend. I am currently in Eastern Iowa with an elavation of about 800ftl. My current banshee setup is FMF fatties, .020 shaved head, stock carbs, foam Pro Design filter with lid no snorkel. Current jetting is stock with a main of 290. It currently runs great but I am concerned about an elevation change headed to Western OK. I am trying to find the local elevation of Wynoka now. I know I would move down in jet size for thinner air but is it necessary? Can anyone in the area recommend a change or am I OK. Don't want to take the 12 hour ride and have my bike run like shit. Thanks

My new coil came in today and after installing it I am back in two-stroke heaven. That familiar ring-ding is the sweetest sound after having trouble with this bike for the last few months. The Yamaha coil does not come with the plug boots though. One of mine is around 4.7K ohms but the other is near 15k so I am going to replace those in before the weekend. Sure glad I got this fixed with the first replacement part...Thanks Turbo

Thanks for the feedback guys. I will un-tape all of the wiring harness and really check it out throughly, and re-check the key switch. I guess a high resistance ground would cause an erradic spark action like that. I'll also call around to some local bike shops about the coil testing. Have a good holiday weekend.

Hey Guys, Might be a long post but I want you to have as much detail as possible. The last couple times out on the Shee it would die under hard acceleration, but would restart after about 15 minutes. Now it is totally dead. I have checked the key switch and run switch and both are good. My stator ohm meter readings match Clymer's perfect. My coil is good across the primary side but is open between the - of the primary and the spark plug boot. Clymers says it should be between 4k & 7k. I called Ricky Stator to discuss and he said that even some new coils will show open from the - term to the plug boot. I do have a resistance of about 22k from one boot to the other through the coil. Then there is the CDI. All the wiring looks good and not shorted or corroded. This bike is an 89 that previously ran perfect. I have installed new NGK BR8ES plugs and it made no difference. One thing I am confused about is that when I hold the plug against the bare metal head bolt I see some spark about every third kick but not every kick. This seems like it would be the problem. Looking for some guidence on which of the three components to chase first, coil, stator, CDI. I know the stator can go open when hot but it measures perfect but wont start the bike at all. I have read Ben's Electrical FAQ and it was very helpful getting this far. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I have the chome one and I am real happy with it. I had to grind just a little off of the foot peg to gain some clearance. You might want to lock tight the clamp bolt... IMS can keep their 100 dollar shifter

I have a used banshee crank for sale that was replaced with a Vito's Performance crank. This crank was replaced due to the rod end play being at .053 measured with a dial indicator. The Clymers manual says up to .080 is useable. This crank will work good for a trail bike. It is a stock Yamaha Crank. $75 + Shipping OBO Set of 3 shocks off of 1989 Banshee. Fronts are in good shape, the rear has a 2002 spring but needs rebuilt. $50 +Shipping for all OBO New Pro Design foam filter for the pro design pro flow adaptor. I have the K&N pro flow piece and I assumed the foam filter would fit on the K&N mount....wrong. I am using the foam outwear but the main filter is un-used in the original packaging. $15 + Shipping. Stock Grab Bar $10 + Shipping White Handlebars $10 + Shipping Please e-mail me at [email protected] or PM me for pictures.
