heck you don't need that to take over our country - right now all you need is a slingshot and a stern voice. Our trucks are worn out and were "inadequate" and out dated 15 years ago with no replacements made or parts to support them since. Our helicopters are 90 repair hours to 1 flight hour and are 40 years old. Now the pride of our Navy is 4 rebuilt 2nd hand diesle/electric subs - unfortunatly the first to try to cross the altantic caught fire and left 1 dead 9 sick and the sub without power in 30 foot seas alone for 2 days with only cell phones to comunicate. Onyl us rednecks with sharp sticks left

another thing to remember is to keep the throttle wide open in order to get a acurate reading. Personaly I think either the comp. testor is messed or it isn't sealing etc. as the motor most likely wouldn't start with compresion that low (as was already mentioned) -
well I went with rebelbanshee's tip first and I think all is well now. That was the first time I have ever had trouble in 8 years of regular internet use. Thanks guys you saved my sanity

Off Topic But Lets Talk About 383 Strokers
bigtreads replied to papa_smurf49319's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I have one in a Land Cruiser on 44's and I love it . I wouldn't trade it for any big block. You won't be disapointed. Why chevy never offered it as a option I'll never know -
if you look on your carbs they have a small glass window - may be dirty but it's there. get a flashlight and twist your throttle. At about wide open there is a mark (small hole) in the slide which you will see as you twist the throttle while watching for the mark. Both Marks should be in the same spot in both carbs to be in sync. Yes the window is on the same side of both carbs so it can be a pain to see the one but you will get it.

looks like you should email that stuff to Terry Cable and ask them whats up. I have 2 twist throttles throttles and rather than screwing up I just bought a new one from them so they know the cable is done right. More $ but less fooling around. Hope you get it solved

As already said take some time to read past posted info -search - you will learn tons. Sounds like you already have the 2 main improvements. Focuse on maitenance first -use the search feature - then it's how much you want to spend for how fast you want to go. As for parts EBay is usually the best spot - have things shipped US Postal Service as the courriers charge high brokerage fees at the border. This really is the best place for anything Banshee enjoy your shee

I have a 2 into 1 carb set up but don't have a throttle cable for it. I have 2 twist grips with different size cable input holes so I think any single carb cable should work. Please let me know asap .Thanks Norm - I can pay Paypal if that helps

well I missed all the crap that went on cause I was at the dunes. But along with everyone else - I check in on this site at least once a day and have been since the first version of the HQ. That said I would gladly pay a fee. I know I don't post alot but but this site is important to me. Lee I hope things settle out and things can continue as normal but regardless thanks for all you have done so far. Norm

I use the factory line 600 as well. But as it's full synthetic I ran yamalube 2R for the break in which you should do as well (or your choice of non synthetic) as the full synthetic won't allow your rings to seat properly. 4 tanks or so should do it then switch to Motul and run it 40:1 as it says on their web site. When I put my NOSS head on I couldn't see any wear after 1 season of riding

I have a PEP stearing dampener and am wondering if anyone can sugest how to mount it with my PTR pipes. From the looks of the hoakey instructions the pipes will be in the way. any tips greatly welcomed thanks

the slides can only go in one way due to a small pin in the barrel that the slides go in - that is why there is a channel cut into the slide. So if the slides are not lined up with this pin they will not go to the bottom which is where idle would be. If they are not lined up the slides will be about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch from the top of the carb. If the slide is actually going to the bottom your finger will most likly just be long enough to touch the slide. If the slides are still at the top it will act like it is running wide open - cause it is. OK now that that has been determined are the needles bent and not going into the main jet ? if so you would get basicly the same result with near wide open running and hard starting etc. Of coarse you may know all this to but this can be frustrating the first few times around

Ya I realize I could do that but I was trying to save the hassle of of all that and get quality stuff by dealing HQ member that knows what he's talking about rather than some clueless bearing guy. The way life is going lately it would be easier to have the right stuff come to me and and get the whole thing done quick. But thanks for the tip as I may have to go that route anyway. Norm

hey man I need some axle bearings bad and fast as I'm going to the dunes in 2 weeks. Im Canadian so shipping will be tight but PM me the cost of the axle bearings. Heck send me the cost of all the bearings you offer thanks Norm

so okay we want to see a larger picture of your avitar. no ... really . I think your nurse/doctor needs glasses and a 12 step program - I could have done a better job of stitching with a fish bone and bailing wire in the dark
