I have replaced my my clutch plates and stuff but i have a question, on the bolt that pushes the clutch plates out is there suppose to be a ball bearing type thing in it, cuz i have one that i have no idea where it came from, any help is appreciated

the sho's had 3.0 dohc v6, 3.2 dohc v6, and a 3.4 v8 dohc

Heres my situation. My left carb top got stripped real bad somehow and wont stay on so i got another sset off carbs off ebay that have the tors removal kit, toomey tops and idle screws. I cleaned the carbs out and put my 290 main jets in them and i left the 25 pilots in them. I have to use starting fluid to get it 2 start now and it just dies when i let off the gas. it runs fine in the upper rpm's but studders in the lower. I cant figure out what is wrong and it is pissing me off. any help is appreciated
