  1. Thanks for the information, After investigating further hotrods has a gasket available by cometic that is the appropriate thickness to run this setup without dome modifications. You have always been a great goto for banshee information. Hopefully this setup will make some power and run well untill I pickup the Cub's. Should keep the girl happy seeing as how I have spent some serious money on every toy I own over the last 6 months!! I would have to expect that there is goint to be a pretty healthy power difference between the longrod stroker and stock stroke and rod, I'm excited to find out! thanks for the insights and help with this one! Ryan
  2. Hey guys, So after tearing my engine down getting ready to do the Cub I realised that I spent a little bit too much on my supercharged slammed big block dually Chev project and with a kid on the way am risking getting my girls shoe in my ass if I shell out the money for the Cub's. I have a rattle in the mag side rod so I have been considering just doing the following, I just need to know if there are more parts required that im overlooking? Hotrods H129 Crankshaft (5mil longrod 4mil stroker) Wiseco 795 series piston (795M06500) Now as far as I know the 795 series piston was designed to not reqiure a stroker plate by moving the piston pin up, is there anyother parts im going to need for this conversion? What I already have is: FMF SST pipes Trinity 35MM 2 into 1 carb with K&N filter Trail ported stock cylinders V-force 3's Cool head with 17cc domes (this is a leaded 110 engine only) Prodesign biller impeller Aftermarket aluminam radiator Dyna Fs ignition with Nology coil 200 watt stator with adjustable plate and HP flywheel lightened Thanks for the space guys, If there is something im overlooking please let me know, Im just trying to make this a simple project that I can finish on a sunday and ride all summer without a problem! Is this setup going to make some power? Thanks alot, Ryan
  3. Sounds like your rear shock is blown out dude!!
  4. I have personally ran Boyesen, Pyramid and VF3's and still prefer the VF3's, they are just a nice part all around, crisp and responsive, nothing bad to say about Boyesen, they are a great bang for the buck, much better than the stock ones anyways, and as far as the Pyramid reeds go I honestly could not tell a difference between those and Boyesen on stock ported cages, Just my 2 cents!!
  5. :yelrotflmao: OMG this is too funny! LOL! Maybe you should go back to welding pipes, making excuses and half ass running a business...they seem to be your forte better than telling people cubs are trail friendly. Dave Moore's new drag chassis has a tighter turning radius than a stock banshee frame. I guess in your opinion that means it's more trail friendly too, right??
  6. Well im certain that nobody will disagree with the fact that any pipe is gonna make a drastic difference over stock. I personally currently run FMF SST's and I am wery impressed with them. I had T 5's but sold them on a good oppertunity to make some easy money. After running both pipes id have to say that the tommeys came on a bit later and had just a bit more in the very top end, however felt like you had to coach them into the "pipes" when you were in slower trail riding. The FMF's came on a bit earlier and hit like a light switch, had a crisper and stronger low end powerband (1/4 to 1/2 throttle and lower RPM) but definately petered out a bit before the toomeys in the top, and did not pull quite as hard in the top, not a drastic difference though. If I were to go pipe shopping again I would surely go with the SST's because they are a fine pipe, and I am thourally impressedwith the fit and finish also, (the toomey pipe did not fit so well on the RH side) and the plating is wondefull!! Im happy with the SST enough that im gonna run them on the 421 CUB that FAST is gonna put together for me! hope any of this helps, thanks, Ryan
  7. Im not sure what the deal is on all of this, I worked at a very high volume dealer of Yamaha machines in Minnesota and I can tell you for a fact that there is much associated paperwork regarding atv's, certificates of origin, things of that like. And I also know for a fact that in 2001 when I purchased my 2002 from the dealer at dealer cost plus the freight fee that is not an option I paid 4650, I highly doubt that they have gone down in price at all. thats just my 2 cents, I dont care how much volume you buy, they would not be that cheap!!
  8. BUMP!!! someone buy some of this stuff please!! Going cub so im not needin it anymore!!
  9. Hell yeah dude, I have personally spoken to Rob about my current cub project, also Jeff from FAST who totally walked me through the process. I would love to hear him say anything along that line to either of them!! they would slap the taste out of his mouth!
  10. Dude??? think real hard about that
  11. Thank you to Bansh-eman, dajogejr, Bansheeseat$$, and BANSHEEPRO for making this thread as much fun as it was, i really enjoy watching people shut up the dumb shi*'s of this site who think they know more about a quad than the people who actually built and own some of the fastest banshee's on this site!!
  12. Hey dude, I have been running my Trinity 35mm 2 into 1 for over a year now and i love it, there is far more bottom end, its alot crisper, and there was a very noticable difference in the top end. well worth the money, also a bit better on fuel and jetting is a breese! clean looking too, just my 2 cents!!
  13. willingly admits his banshee is a dog, how sad!!
  14. Hey guys, I have a set of what looks to be some home ported cylinders, they are 64.5 bore, and could use a re-bore. there was no metal taken out of the ports into the cylinders or any work done on the exhaust, looks like some sloppy knife edging on the intake and the tranfer ports out of the case, nothing that would be to hard to clean up and made to work well, all gasket surfaces are good as well as all threads also.. I was looking for 170 shipped to the continental us on these, they have been sitting on the shelf so im open to any reasonable offer on them. 15. Hey there, amsoil 100:1 equals BANG!! got 2 free cylinders off a friend who learned the hard way, it stuck hard!! Dominator at 40:1 works well, I Use Yamalube 2R at 32:1 and have never had a problem!
  16. Well boys, thats what I wanted to hear, Tribals was actually my first choice!! I have a red frame and i have black plastic on the way, so im thinkin its gonna look sick!!
  17. Hey guys, im gonna change my plastics, i was looking at some graphics from alba. Has anybody used them before? how do they fit factory plastics? I have seen some graphics that fit so poorly in the past that they dont even contour to the bends and curvs, after one ride there is dirt and dust underneath them and they look like hell!! any input wood be nice, Thanks, Ryan
  18. That again goes down the road of, is it really worth is to sacrifice quality to save a few bucks, replace the crank seals!! its worth the money.
  19. Hey guys, im lookin for some clean oe black front and rear fenders, and a black cowl, radiator shroud and tank covers, if anyones got some please let me know, thanks, Ryan
  20. Hey there, I think that most of us on this site can speak from our own experiance, the dealership will de quick to sell you one, but if you look in the fine print of the warranty you will see that it very likely will not cover 2 strokes!! nice protection eh!!
  21. Hey guys, got rid of two sets of cylinders, still got a perfect set of trail ported cylinders and perfect prolites, thay are .020 over and have less than 3 tanks of fuel through them, they are bolt on and go if anybody is lookin, the porting is by on-point motorsprots, he is a local two stroke genious, they have great mid and top end power, lemme know if your interested, thanks, Ryan
