MY OLD SINGLE CARB! you preverted sick freaks wtf did you think I meant??? HolyMan if you cant tell that is a HOT chick in the original pic you have been hanging out w/priests + alter boys too long. Let it go man... Read on and Ride Hard! Scott []v[] -
Ya, I'm in the exact same spot. More time than money right now, usually the opposite but I'm gettiing used to switching back and fourth. How much do you want for them?
-
everything I read says these do nothing or loose power. Not sure if your reeds will fit anything else. I would sell the whole set-up on Ebay possibly. DVF2's vs Ported stockers w/TDR's debate rages on, but I still think the latter is the better value. I might be interested in a partial trade if you want the ported cages. I'd like to look at the rad valve's and see if there is any way to improve them.

I've been debating same thing for my '91, I've decided I wil cut once I get my new chrome pipes order installed. Other options are to: Cut in 1 clean cut and make the fenders re-installable by adding metal tabs on ears or if you have a popular color get a Maier race nose piece w/no fenders $80.99 this way you would have the best of both worlds. I like the full bore look too but it is 300 for full front and 200 for just the nose piece.. Scott []v[]

T5 up's: High rev's Designed for dunes, open areas and long straights. You can gear down to compensate but loose top speed. Downs are a scaraficed bottom-end for more top-end but, you barely notice this in sand. Fatty Up's: Med-Rev designed for trail's + MX. They have decent low+mid range and gearing can be changed for more topend. Downs are a sacraficed top-end for more low+mid range and these are FMF's mid-performance pipes, to get their best you got to spend more for the SST's.

pipes, reeds, milled head, filters, what next?
Scott M replied to b_a_n_s_h_e_e's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
What kind of reeds are on your ported cages? I would get TDR CF's if you don't have them. Another simple mod is a adv timing plate for +4 or +5 degrees. Then I would bore the stock carbs or lighten the flywheel. Followed by porting. -
to cut or not to cut that is the question ???
Scott M replied to ozstriker's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
sand = cut, no sand = no cut If you have a popular color front plastic I would try to find some used - same color plastic on flEbay or some where and have both cut and uncut sets so you can switch back and fourth depending on weather. -
time for a New radiator cap? or did I over-fill radiator?
Scott M replied to Scott M's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
it didn't happen until the coolant got hot, I was hill jumping and started practicing drag starts when it happened. The Search Function works now (it wasnt b4) and I found 1 post, I probbably just overfilled it. Thx 4 replies! -
I removed the overflow bottle, filled radiator to brim and noticed on last ride some fluid draining from radiator - never overheated, never got over 185F, it was in 70F's outside and I have a New impeller and a in-line cooler. But it did spurt out 4-5oz 2 or 3 times. It is the original cap from '91, Should I look into a new cap? OR should I reinstall the bottle under front fender as seen here on sheeHQ/john's site? Or probbably should do both... What, where and how much is a good cap? or should I do nothing? TIA for any info. Read on and Ride hard! Scott []v[]

SCOTT H: Any other head mods? or just milled/domed to 150psi? Also any porting w/8 degrees adv? UCCR? I under stand changing the squish angle would change CC size but not octaine req after compensation for cc size.? "Listen for detonation" no matter what gas I run shee shounds like she is on verge of blowing up every time I ride anyway lol. detonation sound = loud burning/pinging? or loss of power and knock/pinging like a car? This is exactically why I'm starting to think 50/50 93/110 is safe either way. 101.5 octain protects against detonation and (this is the questionable part) increases performance.? I starting to see that the real answer is: it will depend on the individual shee set-up besides the PSI changes..
-
Thats what I mean by "race gas"=VP, trick, etc. Well you have managed to touch on the 2 things that still confuse the hell outta me - especially when combined! So now I'm totally lost, I just need a yes or no answer to: 145psi + 5 degree advance = use 93 octaine, correct?
-
Hmmm.. I plan on doing a 5 degree mod, so after that I will feel a difference w/race gas? I have been dong the same 50/50 w/octain 93/110 and have felt no improvement thus far, but I have also been changing jetting almost every time I ride....
-
Just get 1 of each like me! I got a slammed street rig for pimping lady's and a jacked 4x4 for pimping off-road-ho's !
-
Supposedly you don't "need" to run race gas until 160psi+ but does it help performance at lower psi? Is it worth buying at 145 or is it just a waste of money? Go fast now, look good later! Scott []v[]

Error: duplicate msg Sorry guys I kept getting an error of not posting. :x

What about just milling your stock head or machining it to take domes? Then just run a inline cooler and engine ice type stuff... Go fast now, Look good Later! Scott []v[]

I have done a search on relocating the coolant bottle and it seems 1/2 the members relocate it and about 1/2 removes the bottle. I was wondering what is more popular now a days? On my '91 I just ran the coolant bottle overflow line straight down from stock bottle spot. I'm trying to decide for what to do on my '02 and maybe now my '91. Thank you very much for your participation. Go Fast and look good Later! Scott []v[]

Best dual 28mm carb set up?? Taper Bored 28's? or PWK33?
Scott M replied to Scott M's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum

Which has the best Traction action? AmpLink vs -2Cut stocker
Scott M replied to Scott M's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
these? http://www.tmdesignworks.com/plcgrkits.htm But they Don't Improve traction they just reduce drag. That was the issue I saw w/the AMP Link - the wheels dragg/got stuck especially w/sand. The theory for more traction is good, it's just a high maintence (faulty?)design. I mainly wanted to get some RL experience, keep it commin'! -
I'm 13 + 21, In my online gaming days b4 child (I need a moment alone...ahhhh) my nick was YoungWoody b/c my body and mind were 30+ but part of me still felt 18............unless of course I was playing Military games, then I was []v[]ajorWoody! "Ride it like a rental!" Scott []v[]

I ran a single Graydon Y manifold and a PWK35 for the last 5yrs and loved it Except for riding in wet conditions as it had an exposed K&N w/ow. Supposedly there are new OuterWares that are "water resistant" that I never got to try, but that was the only draw back. Tuneing, low-end/torque and looks were all excellent. The only reason I changed to dual (used) PJ35's is because I went w/a 420cc set up and I'm starting to have 2nd thought's as they are becoming a challenge to tune in.
