  8. With the stock banshee hub the smallest you can go is 38. The chain just touches the hub. I run a 38 on the rear and I got it from Joel Janssen at Janssen Racing (920) 766-3411
  9. In my opinion and experience, 15/41 is too high for MX. Just my thoughts and 6 years of racing. But - I run 14/38 (or 15/41 same thing) with 18" tires. For stock, or 20" tires, stock gearing is better (14/41). Depending on traction of the launch, I like to start in 2nd gear. With this high a ratio, this could not be done effectively with 20" tires. Some people prefer different set-ups but if you can launch good in 2nd, you will have a great shot at the holeshot. When all the other guys are shifting to 2nd, you are still on the power and flying by them.
  10. I recommend skipping the spacers and go with boyessen dual stage reeds - not the carbon ones either. The v-force are too much and won't improve what you want. I would also go with the 33 carb vs the 35 for what you have done on the motor.
  11. That was an interesting link.
  12. 14/38 or 15/41 works great w/ 18". They result in the same ratio.
  13. I hope you changed the jetting before running it for 30 minutes at -7F
  14. You can get a brand new set from Rocky Mtn w/ red label 190's for 160.00 You want 150.00 plus shipping?????????
  15. Yes they are worth exactly that - A CRAP
  16. Thanks for all the interest and replys but I am not interested in any trades other than a DRZ 400 or a XR 650. Thanks
  17. Lowering kit, sway bar and jet up on the main one size for every 20 degrees F temperature drop. ie I run 290 mains in the summer and 330 in the winter - that covers me down to zero. When it is 30, I'm a little fat but I run my cover without the snorkel and if it is 25 or warmer, I remove the cover.
  18. Holyman, I did mine per your recommendations and it works great. I hope you realize what you just got yourself into - your going to end up with about 150 kickers shipped to your address. Better get a bigger mailbox and take vacation from work. All these guys are going to hound you wondering when their kick starter is going to be shipped back to them. Great offer - you must be a really nice guy.
  19. I agree with D34 Don't do it and don't listen to a guy who says it will work w/o porting changes.
  20. If your rotor moves and your axle lock nut is tight and the bolts holding the rotor on are tight (these should be torqued down good and loctited) then your axle splines are worn and on the road to being shot. Bearing wear will be seen as movement in the entire axle, rotor and sprocket movement.
