You do know where ELKAs are made right. These are NOT them shit temu shocks. I dumped a set of Fox floats over these and LOVE Them. They are FAR better than OEM far better than them basic ass cheap shit your reffering to. Like this shit. https://a.co/d/4AsllCS. These are TRASH compared to the ones I have. Buy a set and see what I mean. Don't like them SEND THEM BACK. I'm telling you for the price these are GREAT Sent from my BBF100-2 using Tapatalk

Hell no not even after I put my banshee into some trees at the very end of 3rd gear so about 50kph+ and now have a rod and screws in my right leg. Only things that got fucked was the bumpers handle bars and steering stem and the one silencer got a couple dings in them. Everything else looks the same as before the crash. My Banshee is +2 +1 and +4 in the rear so that's 2in of trail I had on some already tight single track trails. Funny thing is I rode that trail 2 times that day and TONS the days before and weekend before that. These are not shit shocks like them basic ass ones these are actually REALLY DECENT for the price and the riding I do. I took off a pair of fox float shocks cause they seemed like that had no real damping and were very stiff BUT REALLY good on paved or drag racing. To be honest I DO NOT Regret buying these. Yeah well I been trail riding mine and doing it hard and they are 1000x TIMES better then the FOX Floats I had on. I recently put the banshee into the trees, caught a broken left foot, shattered my lower right leg and now have Rods, Screws and some plates in there BUT the shocks still look new after the crash in 3rd gear on the pipe at the end of the power band into the trees, I MUST have clipped a log being +4in wider and it threw me and the Shee into the trees, the bikes also good EXCEPT the handle bars, steering stem and rear bumper and it put some dents in The right side silencers end cone. Other then that's SHEE is good and I'm the one who got busted up. Lol Sent from my BBF100-2 using Tapatalk

Mines been an enclosed trailer Queen 90% of its life, I don't ride in MUD and avoid rain if possible. Lonestar stopped making them a arms MAY YEARS AGO and you won't find a set now unless used, even Lonestar said keep them in good shape we haven't made that design in MANY YEARS. I have been hard trail riding these and they are GREAT.

That rear shock looks like a down grade from the OEM one. I have a stock rear and love it. Sent from my BBF100-2 using Tapatalk

If ANYONE wants more info let me know and I will link to the shocks or provide ANY info anyone could ask for. I am NOT a salesman or trying to sell them, just a good sub $300 CAD shocks. Sent from my BBF100-2 using Tapatalk

Ok here it goes guys BUT I needed some FAR better shocks then what was stock on the Banshee or the Fox Floats I replaced the OEM ones with then replaced the Floats with these RKV86 shocks and WOW what a HUGE difference in ride, performance in the trails and overall handling. For the riding I do I can't justify spending the extra money on ELKA or another brand BUT these are GREAT so far and they look DECENT. In some of these pics I'm running a 2.5in lowering link on the LSR +2 +1 a arms. The bronze thing is something I fully designed and 3D printed myself to hold the brake hose from rubbing on the a arms. If anyone needs a set I can design a set for you. In them pics I have a 2.5 in lowering links installed. They will fit the a arms normally with or without the 2.5in drop. I have it lowered for road race/flat track and then stock ride height for trails and other normal riding. This is without. My bike is an 03 Banshee LE, has Lone Star Racing +2 +1 a arms that they haven't made for about 15 years and don't even make this style anymore for the banshee.+4in LoneStar Rear axle, all stock engine, FMF Fatty pipes with Powercore 2, 280 mains with 27.5 pilots, stock carbs, no boost bottle or cross over tube, no TORS, K&N filter in stock air box with lid on but I have holes drilled on the inside, 125m ASL(above sea level) the TopFighter tires on DWT A5 rims and them ITP rims with Maxxis Razers, bigger rad. I'm porting a set of cylinder for when the next rebuild comes. Other then that I'm not sure what else I'm forgetting other then them front shocks(GREAT) and a rebuilt/set to me rear shock. The bronze Brake hose holders I designed and made on my 3D Printer. Where I live in Canaduh it's pretty much only woods trail type riding or mudding no dunes. Last pic is the shocks in the stock location. If you want any info or help with your bike it's pretty much all I know and ride as of late. Sent from my BBF100-2 using Tapatalk

Well I have cheaper Amazon shocks on the front of mine they are the RKV86 brand and are GREAT DUDE, I dumped a set of Fox Floats for these cause the floats felt like Drag or Road race only as how stiff they were. These are Night and Day compared to the Floats. Anything cheaper and I wouldn't Bother. Here is a link to the ones I have, I am also running +2+1 a arms and +4 rear axle on stock length swing arm and they fit great. RKV86 Adjustable 368mm Front Air Shock Absorbers, Aluminum Material, CNC Process, Fit for Yamaha Banshee 350 YFZ350 1991-2006 Replace 3GG-23350-10-P0/P1 3GG-23350-20-35/36 3GG-23350-20-6W ATV (Red) https://a.co/d/fWRlqA7 Hope it helps. Ok and if I'm only changing it by 4 thou will that make a huge difference and what type of squish am I looking for or does that depend on the engine setup? Engine is all stock except a clean up of all the over casting and flash in the way of air flow they are 64mm stock cylinders, full FMF gnarly with PowerCore2, K&N filter with semi open lid, 260 mains. What type of squish range is good for me, I will be running 95octane pump gas or 102-103 octane when mixed with VP if I need to. HUGE THANKS FOR THE HELP BROTHER. Sent from my BBF100-2 using Tapatalk

Just wondering if the Banshee uses 0.0020in base gasket and I install 0.0016in base gasket is that the same as if I took 0.004in off the head? Sent from my BBF100-2 using Tapatalk

plz help identifying what piston rings i need
03SEBanshee replied to JRS19's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
That's an old forged Wiseco piston BUT from how it looks I wouldn't use it again, a new piston and rings is FAR CHEAPER THEN A WHOLE ENGINE WHEN THAT OLD ASS PISTON BREAKS APART IN YOUR ENGINE. Sent from my BBF100-2 using Tapatalk -
You need 2T oil for the power side of the engine, if in the transmission then it's great. I run either Amsoil Dominator or interceptor Sent from my BBF100-2 using Tapatalk
