  1. Let me say this first: I do not have TORS installed on the bike (pretty sure 99% of banshees dont nowadays anyway) Originally thought when I installed my new throttle cable that it would just need to be adjusted a little with the caps on top of the carb, and the piece that screws into the top, but messin around with that and the throttle cable by the throttle didnt manage to stop the bike from pouring out gas. Now I checked online and some links redirected me to here where I saw people saying that maybe the float is stuck or the needle needs to be cleaned and all that, so I ordered a clymers manual so that I could read it and make sure im doing everything correctly when I tear into carbs whenever it arrives. If anybody has any suggestions on what to do for this I'd appreciate it. Ive tapped on the bowls to see if that would help, but it didnt. I havent messed around with any of the screws on the carbs yet either. It also seems like it was only the right carbs overflow that was leaking, so I might have just messed up with putting the slide in backwards but I am almost 100% sure that I put it in correctly.
  2. I ended up just buying the full motion pro kit with new cable, caps and adjusters. Havent had the chance to go out and work on it due to it either raining and being super windy, or just being too cold. Thanks for the help though! I guess I was just a little confused how the cable doesnt pull right out the top of the carb, but I didnt think it through properly.
  3. Yeah my carbs have idle adjustment screws, I've played with them a bunch to get it to idle correctly, they would've gotten added in after tors was removed, right?
  4. I know the rz350 and banshee basically have the same engine, but is there anything noticeably different in how it performs vs the normal banshee engine? Looks great even after sitting for 15 years!
  5. So I bought a throttle cable for my banshee because the old one was stretched out, found out after pulling slides out that the new cable didn’t have any threads on it to match the current carb caps I have on top of the carbs, will I need a new cable or should I order new caps? Not sure. Current tops of the carbs Closer view of cap, still not very visible but there’s threads on the top of it. Old cable, has threads to screw into the top of the carb. New cable, installed but wouldn’t fit and stay in carb caps because of it not having any threads on it. I’ve seen cables sold that have threads on them but they’re listed as cables for the TORS system, which my banshee doesn’t have anymore. Wondering if I need to buy new caps or a completely different cable. Thanks for any help I receive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Honestly I dont even really care about connecting them since I never ride when its dark, and Ive tried ebay lights, they never ship out whats in the pics so the lights never actually fit in the brackets properly, always too thin to fit so I could have to make a custom bracket, but Ill keep looking, thanks.
  7. Bought my banshee with this bumper on it, swapped it out for OEM. If anybody has any idea who made this would be cool to know. Also if anybody wants it, throw me an offer, I might keep it I might not who knows. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Anybody know of any cheap headlights that would fit onto OEM unmodified headlight brackets? Ive seen some videos about people buying some 27 watt work lights and them fitting up, but most of them dont seem like they would work. Budget is preferably around 20-30$, and would definitely like them to be the same size as OEM lights. I could buy OEM headlights but I dont want to spend 100$ on a set of them. Any help would be appreciated.
  9. I always heard things about engine ice, always wondered why it was so expensive. Seems like its just another one of those things that is more expensive because of the brand name
  10. I can just go buy some normal automotive antifreeze? I was worried that I would need some special motorcycle performance coolant or something like that
  11. I ride in PA so during the summer it gets hot and during the winter it gets pretty cold, so I know I shouldnt run straight water. I am probably gonna end up going 50/50 water and coolant. but I don't know which coolant I should be running. Anybody know a proper coolant? And the water should be distilled water, right?
  12. Alright, I was able to get the nut off with an impact that I borrowed.. Noticed the tab on the washer behind it was snapped, do I need that on there? I can buy one but it wont be here by the next time I'm going riding so I'm just wondering if its required or not.
  13. Yeah thats what i've seen from other people changing their basket.. Looking to see if theres any rentals around me before I go buy one because I don't know if I would use it for anything other than this 1 time.
  14. Alright, I'll try that tomorrow, but at this point I might just end up buying an impact gun.
