  1. I left the cylinder unbolted before putting head on it then put head on then cross tighten the cylinder head then tighten the Cylinders
  2. Where can I buy a head with o rings that will fit a stock banshee
  3. Its metal it has some kind of paint coating it that blue out and made it do that my old is the same way but its lifting up in a fue places
  4. My new head gasket went out would it be ok to use old one that was working good when taken off with a thin layer of high temp gasket maker. No way to order nee gasket right now .
  5. Looking for new stock cylinders but all I see is Chinese knockoffs.. dont want cheap knock offs want a good stock nee cylinder
  6. It was wet probably have to do a 1-3 with break because its hard to hit 6th around here
  7. Dont listen to last post.. they are better then stock I have lectron on my yz250 they was pretty much set perfectly from lectron but get yourself a good digital micrometer. Measure the tip of the needle to the brass insert on the slide where it threads in. Start with 48mm length. Any needle will work to get the bike to idle. Warm the bike up, and wrap the throttle 3 to 4 times real quick. It should be crisp and clean, not blowing a ton of raw fuel out the pipes (a little is ok for methanol) If it's blowing raw fuel out, turn the needles out 1/4 turn at a time until it's revving clean. Then you're done. Remember, the flat side of the metering rod MUST face the engine, so once you make the needle longer, push the needle up and turn it so the flat is facing foward, you'll feel it "click" back in place. Keeping these needles the same length is critical. get within .02mm or so of each other. Then, turn the power jets all the way open. Keep turning them in until it pulls nice and hard. That's your safe point. If you go too lean on the metering rod..it'll surge and feel "tinny" and rev funny....1/4 to 1/2 turn at a time is what I'd recommend. Just use the two outside screws on the carb tops until you get the needle set, then use the third to fasten it (in front of the cable)
  8. I did 1 run went through all 6 gears took my time tho... last Time I did 3 gears but used break to put a load on it i was running a 160 main jet was way to rich when I chopped plug the hole thing was black so I knew was way to rich other plug had no color at all both woul look lean tho from looking at the top of spark plug until cutting it... this time I dropped the jet to a 150 did all 6 gears chopped plug and everything was white except top defantly ran 100 times better tho this is what plug looked like. Pic of plugs with color was from the first run 1-3 using break its the run that one spark plus had no color other plug did.. second pic Is from second run with hardly no color ... it was wet so was hard to hit 6 on top end
  9. When I ride my banshee it smokes out of pipes after shutting off.... could this be where its running ritch I'm in the process of jetting it down as we speak
  10. Yea I think the pilot I put in it is good..it has a bunch of power and fast but has a little bit to much smoke and kinda week on low end and a little mid range but defantly not ritch tho I'm thinking I'm going to buy a bunch of plugs jett it ritch and start plug chopping till I get it right my pilot could be a little high but not sure
  11. You dont think a 150 main will be to big? A stock pilot is a 45 so I put a 52 in .. started out with a 150 main stock main was 138 ..My 350 has a dmc pipe trail port bored 1 over vitos piston not the power piston just regular I also and running lid on air box
  12. I only have a honed cylinder bored 1 over with a vitos piston I thing it's just the regular vitos piston an I have dmc pipes running air box so I think im only going to need a 140 to 150 tops not sure on the pilots I already saved some setups on this forum close to mine definitely going to run a n68a needle tho..
  13. Definitely needs jets and not checked to see if they opening up all the way..if it's not opening up all the way how do I fix that because my twist throttle will twist back farther with the cable detached so I just figured it was opening all the way
  14. I put a twist throttle on my banshee along with new 28 mm mpk carbs and it seams kinda hard to twist dont get stuck tho also dont have as much power idk if that's where I just put the carb on and it needs jetted up but when I had my 26 cheep carbs on it would hit wheelies easy I'm thinking it's just the stiff new springs in the carb and the power loss Is just form the cab needing jetted up any ideals on this problem
  15. I do not use smoke to Jet. But I've always heard you have to chop a plug to get an accurate reading from your jets I even read that in a old dirt Weekly Magazine. The top of the plug can read differently at different speeds from what I have hurd... but I cant really jet I always take my shit to a professional....I'm trying to learn tho
  16. Yea ima order some when I figure out where my jets need to be so I'm not spending that extra on jets.. them was only 8 bucks for 2 sets.. was going to have my friend jet it but he dont do a plug chop he said he goes off smoke no way in hell you can jet a bike off smoke and get it correct lol never hurd of that..you ?
  17. Also I ordered so many because of mods if I take air box off I can jett up or other things that require jetting to change.. I have only used knock off jets in my yz 250 but never had a problem.
  18. What's the difference. My friend runs same ones his jetting is spot on he chops his plugs
  19. That's the port on my cylinder looks like trail ports
  20. I would need to order more then this is what oil ordered
  21. My stock carbs we're no longer usable so I replaced them with 28 mm keihin carburetors what is a ballpark range should I jet them at.... I have DMC pipes Trail ported cylinders that are bored one over and that's it everything else is pretty much airbox is on it my elevation is 650ft... temperature in the summer time is 70 degrees to 85° sometimes 90 degrees 2 a hundred on occasion
  22. Definitely need carbs my stock ones are knock off so technically they not stock... I cant jet them they dont make jets for them that I need or can find.. they koso carbs
  23. I was not able to find any one using 28mm carbs.. but it's good to check out ty
