  1. Sorry for being a dickhead but this guy came here couple of months ago with a problem, asking for advice. He was given good advice and where to start from on couple of occasions but he still keeps beating the same thing expecting different results. He doesn't wanna spend good time on that quad, doing some good research and than applying it. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  2. And doing proper leak down test Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  3. Now he should sell that quad and run away without turning back instead of spending couple of hours doing some research here. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  4. There you go Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  5. Btw leak down test won't tell you if you have air leak in your carburettor Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  6. Who ever tells you banshees are simple is bullshitting you,to work on 4 stroke is way more simple and straightforward than any 2 stroke. If you wanna learn how to work on them be ready to spend some quality time reading shitloads of posts on jetting,do some research on porting, pipes, reed valves and all possible combinations of above mentioned stuff. 7. We can beat this topic down to subatomic level and keep arguing as much as you like but the fact is that this guy doesn't like 2 strokes,he is 4 stroke person . No matter what you say and how smart you are won't change his mind. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  8. And leak down test will only tell you if you have a leak or not,it won't help you with tunning at all. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  9. Yup,engine wise but if you have old shitti carbs you might end up with some considerable time wastage trying to find out wtf is going on especially if you never had worked on it before. That is the reason why everything went fuel injection way, easy to troubleshoot, easy to change and way easier to tune. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  10. Easier to fix (put together) indeed but bitch to tune, time consuming process Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  11. To work on the banshee you have to be VERY patient and know a lot about two strokes. Get yourself 700 raptor or any 4 stroke (preferably fuel injected) and you won't have to worry about anything except service it on time. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  12. If you advance timing far too much spark plug will ignite fuel too early and will expose pistons and bearings to much higher loads than normal. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  13. From what i know advancing timing is igniting fuel before top dead center which is beneficial at higher rpms thus we have cars with variable ignition timing and variable valve timing on engines. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  14. J arms are old school, anything after that is new to me Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  15. Maybe it's just running out of puff. Temperature and air pressure plays its role too, could be that. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  16. Did you find out what was the cause? Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  17. What did you change from the last time when it was running good? Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  18. I blocked mine too, runs sweet but I assume it effects power to some extent. Probably cuts it down a bit as there is less air/fuel mixture by volume sucked in. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  19. BTW never had anything other than stock carburetors so can't help you with anything else[emoji52] Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  20. Pull the carburetors off, clean them, check what jets are already in there and go from that. Check and set the float level while you are at it, also would be good to check reeds and do the compression test as well as leak down test too. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  21. That could've been very pricey expedition. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  22. You sure your speedo is accurate? Mine was way off after a loooong break, the battery went flat and it lost the set up. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  23. I agree, I assume air leak would manifest differently Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  24. No air leaks? Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  25. Maybe fuel? Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
