  1. I never did a test as it turned out to be a petcock issue.. I might do one when i have time but, this double barreled demon absolutely screams! Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  2. Shees alive! Well it turned out that the petcock filters were plugged..and so the little bit of fuel that made it through, followed the gas line to the "T" connector and than would run strait to the right side carb(path of least resistance). since the "T" kind of angled that way. Cleaned it out and shee fired up and runs purty decent. Will have some fine tuning to do... Thanks to u guys that commented and helped! Appreciate it. Sometimes the most confusing obstacles are the simplest fix[emoji41] Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  3. Something must be frikd with the gas line because i pulled it off the "problem carb", and turned the fuel on and, no fuel came out that fuel line but, it was still running to the other carb...must be the T connector is bad or something... Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  4. Ok..found the problem i "think" lol I left gas on and loosened both float drain screws and fuel only ran out of the running side. NO fuel came out of the drain on The side thats not firing Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  5. Also the 2 bottom reeds on the cylinder in question, are not seating themselves down. One of them is cockd open about 1mm and the other just barely. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  6. Well got the pilots in and everything cleaned up, and it still wants to quit firing til i pull the choke out and than it will start bak up. Maby my float needs replaced? Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  7. Sumtimes im in to big of hurry Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  8. The washers and jet on left are oem. The jet in the carb is new 280 main Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  9. Well im still waiting on the pilots but, i pulled carbs apart and i noticed i forgot to switch the washer from the base of both oem main jets, to the new jets.. Maby thats part of the prob? Idk. But will update when i get pilots installed maby you can see what i mean by the pic Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  10. Defntly. Tomorrow. Wish my garage was heated..im not willing to go mess with cold metal in 19* weather tonight Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  11. Gotcha. I will be checking reeds as well. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  12. I hav new plugs that im going to run tomorrow. I did swith the plug boots around and still had same prob. So that cancels out electrical. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  13. I started it up and it idled great for a minute or 2.. Than i blipped the throttle a couple times and left cyl quit firing so i yanked the choke out and blipped th throttle again and it started firing again. Has brand new topend with about 1.5 gallons of fuel through it. It ran superb till i changed the jets.. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  14. And i know nothing about syncing the tors system... Last shee i had ddnt have tors. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  15. Well short story shorter..i got my 280 mains today (still waiting on the pilots). I decided to try the mains out, see how it runs with those. 20min later..mains installed and, airbox removed.. ..i started her up! Shee ran fine. Til i gave her a bit of throttle, thn the left cylinder quit firing! I started her up again and when i blipped the throttle, the left cyl wants to quit firing....#!!#! But i discovered i can pull the choke out and the left cyl will start firing again...anybody ran into this before? I will be cleaning that carb again, when tomorrow comes.. Anything i should look for? Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  16. I dont have paypal setup yet.. When i do i will update. As of now tho, if anyone within reasonable distance is interested... Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  17. I hav a set of those oldschool ac nerfs...i would sell (pick up only) located in central MI. Just by looks id say there in bout same shape as whats pictured above^^^ only pic i have Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  18. Gotcha.. I tried uploading a vid of it idling, but its not gonna let it happen. My next question. If i leave air box lid on, how lean will it actually run with just head pipes. Safe? Not safe? I do not have stock air filter and i had to modify stock silencers to fit fmfs EC's..so either i run it as is or, it sits in the garage[emoji36] Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  19. Stock cyls. No port. Fresh wiseco topend. Stock carbs. Fmf expansion chambers with stock silencers. K&n filter without lid. Im at 500-1000ft above sea level. Would 280 mains be good starting point? What about pilots...? Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  20. Ok im a beleiver. I am no scientist and when i seen that and started thinkn bout it, well it was making my head hurt Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  21. Lol sorry i had hose placement mixed up..well basically my question is...how does the impeller pump coolant when the cup of the impeller fins are on the opposite side of the flow direction? Does that make sense? Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  22. So..im confused or dumb. Help me out. Why do so many guys put the temp gauge in the hose running into the front of the head, instead of the hose running from the actual water pump? By all appearances(the way the fins are) Shows the flow comes directly from the pump to the top of rad. So wouldnt placing temp gauge in this hose show more accurate reading of engine temp? Instead of having it in the line(cooled down) coming from bottom of rad to head? Oh boy... Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  23. Well i yanked the jugs off, and they look really good. I spose i will just get them honed. Now the pistons look good to other than the little bit of brown above the rings.. Looks like uf id ridden a little while longer they would've been scorched. The top of piston has quite the carbon build up. The head looks awsom. No pings or scorch on it. My own unprofessional assumption: the impeller very recently melted under my riding..and i luckily caught it in time Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  24. Stock stroke a hotrods? Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
