  1. Just got the shipping notice. Excellent! Always fast shipping!
  2. That's my plan. And if I don't like the way the stock lights look, maybe a set of your headlights too.
  3. Excellent! Put my name on a set I'll send payment later this morning. Thanks.
  4. That pretty well sums it up. From everything I've read and heard Alba has good products at good prices. But buying directly from them was one of the worst purchasing experiences I've ever had. Everyone I talked to there, when I finally got them on the phone, was friendly and agreeable and they eventually made it all good. But their phone call handling, packaging and shipping sucked.
  5. Have you checked Rocky Mtn ATV on tire and wheel packages. Good prices, service and shipping. I used 8 paddle haulers last summer, 22x11x8, on my stock Banshee, liked 'em. Got a set of 10 paddle haulers with a Banshee I bought this winter, 22x11x8, its probably going to be a 4 mil and that's what I'm planning to run on it.
  6. This guy has done a series of videos on Banshee engine rebuild. Good look inside at all the parts. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CcTCUoi_OmE
  7. Sounds like you may have found your problem. Excellent! Now go enjoy that nice warm sand. Make a few passes for all of us up here in winter country. We're hoping the snow is all gone by the time St. Anthony opens on April 1.
  8. The hottest water should be at the front of the head where the hose comes out and goes up to the top of the radiator. Check where that hose connects to the head.
  9. Radiator leaking? System not holding pressure could cause it to overheat. Use an infrared temp gun to check actual temps on engine.
  10. Is the gauge accurate? I thought mine was overheating last summer, turned out the gauge was reading 10-20 degrees hot.
  11. I've read some good reviews here on these. SLP has been a leader in the snowmobile market for a long time. They know their way around 2 strokes. Their Banshee pipes should be worth a look. http://slp.cc/catalog.cfm?pageID=detail&catalogID=11&productID=1703
  12. Mine arrived yesterday, put it on last night, good fit and finish. Thanks!
  13. $3 is about right on the jets, the kits are overpriced IMO, float bowl gasket prices vary a lot, RMATV is least expensive.
  14. See my replies on jets in this thread. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?/topic/185471-jet-size-questions/
  15. No plug chop, just read the plugs and listened to the engine. Pistons and cylinders looked good this winter when I put the cool head on. You'll know when you're too fat on top, the engine won't rev up well. Start high and work your way down.
  16. Also, I found that Rocky Mtn ATV had best price on jets and float bowl gaskets. I bought jets from 220 - 300 and extra gaskets, my used gaskets leaked.
  17. I rode my '94 at 5000 feet last summer, it ran great with 240 mains, 27.5 pilots, stock engine, FMF, stock air box. I put K&N's and a cool head on this winter, I'm thinking I'll end up around 260 this summer, but won't know for sure until weather warms up.
  18. My local Banshee gurus would agree. They tell me all 3 are top of the line. I've bought from Redline and FAST and been pleased with the results. K&T is also in Utah. The '01 I just bought in Utah has K&T parts on it. Previous owner said they do good work.
  19. P.S. Now go back to tfaith's 3 questions, answer them, build your plan and go for it.
  20. Utah? A neighbor, welcome! We're at St. Anthony. KAN Powersports is a BHQ sponsor from Utah. I was just talking to a friend up here the other day who is going to have them do some Banshee engine work. Looks like you've been given some great advice here. Good luck with it.
