They fit great, perform just like the chrome ones with aluminum silencers, and look good imo. I will say the black finish is crap, it has rubbed off in a couple places after one trip and I spilled a small drop of gas on one side and it took the finish off right down to bare metal. They say they're powder coated black but it almost seems like they're rattle canned with thermal paint. I ordered them from FAST, quick shipping, best price around, call em up. Saying that since you and your buddies haven't had issues is a blanket statement as well. I've personally owned an LMM and 2 LML duramaxs and the first LML finally got traded into the dealership as a lemon after the injector pump went out after 4,000 miles on the odometer, 2 separate cooling system leaks, transmission sensor issues, and a fuel pump go out. This all happened before 20,000 miles. No need to have a pissing match of who's had more maintenance free miles because it varies for my truck to yours. I own and operate a trucking/construction company and we have some of all of the 3 top manufacturers, we go through different issues with each one. Enviado desde mi XT1585 mediante Tapatalk

It's not a fair statement to say that you'd be replacing parts if you bought it new off the lot because there's lots of people that drove them well past 100,000 without any of the common issues. One of my 6.0s made it to 178,000 before the head bolts stretched, and yeah you should be able to buy something off the lot and drive it without paying for repairs. Ford offers a 100,000 mile power train warranty that covered all of those issues. Is it smart to drive a truck that has known common issues stock and not mod them to make it bulletproof? No, but I like the peace of mind so I bulletproof every diesel we buy. Fords, GMs, and even some dodges. Same idea as a banshee new off the line, has known issues with TORS, like previously stated, welding the clutch ball, etc. But a lot of people run their shees for a long time without running into either of those issues. People always avoid the 6.0s because of the known issues but if you're aware of the issues and do some simple fixes they're great running trucks. We still have 5 or 6 of them in our fleet and most are over 200,000. We don't have very many 7.3s left but those have been pretty much bulletproof. As much as people have said about the 6.4s having a ton of problems, we've had good luck with ours as well, we've actually bought a couple that people thought they had destroyed and we bought one assuming we'd do an engine swap on it and ended up just replacing injectors, EGR delete, and a tune and it runs great. The setups from industrial injection and H&S are true singled. Nothing super fancy like the VGT but they are more reliable, simpler, little bit more turbo lag but much more potential for boost pressures without blowing your turbo. All around more dependable than a VGT in my opinion. Enviado desde mi XT1585 mediante Tapatalk

They have a VGT turbo setup that they refer to as "a single turbo that acts as a sequential turbo setup." It's an interesting concept, there's a really good article on this website about what they changed in 2015 and how it differs from the original setup. http://www.enginelabs.com/engine-tech/engine/an-inside-look-at-the-6-7-power-stroke-including-2015-updates/ Enviado desde mi XT1585 mediante Tapatalk

The 6.7 powerstroke turbo setup is garbage until they switched it up in 2015. Get to 100,000 with stock to keep Ford responsible for any turbo issues until warranty is up and then go with a industrial injection or H&S single turbo setup. I'd be curious to see if dealer holds to his statement of lifetime turbo warranty, when it comes to warranty work they like to find ways to blame you before they replace anything. Who's heading out to Glamis over Prez?

We'll be at dumont that whole weekend if you end up there instead Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk -
Decent list to get started, you're going to be told numerous times to stay away from the wiseco cranks. Hotrods are proven and reliable in a build of this size. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

So I'm assuming that you bought them used right? My rear axle has play in both wheel hubs and the sprocket and brake hubs, right now I'm trying to decide if I should buy a JJ&A or Modquad or hope that it's only the hubs splines that are worn, I did some research on here and read that the hub material is softer than the axle material so the hubs are what tend to wear out but both splines can wear out over time.

Bottom line is I should've had the funds ready and he should've communicated. That's the only point I'm trying to make, good suggestions. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk -

It's linked, they have this new security bullshit that you have to complete a certain amount of transactions before they allow instant transactions. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk -
BUYER BEWARE, Do NOT buy from Zillakilla02
Yamaha21 posted a topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Just a heads up for for everyone out there interested in dealing with Zillakilla02, he and I had come to an agreement on the CPIs he had posted for sale and he sold them out from under me after committing to me. This post's intention is to bring awareness to other BHQ users not to in anyway slander the name or character of Zillakilla02. Here's my end of the story: I saw the CPIs posted and immediately sent him a PM since I've been looking for a set for a long time and just sold my PT Mids to another member on here (Texan99), great buyer, I sent the PM on 1/12/16 and our correspondence involved us negotiating on a price, shipping, etc. After negotiating I sent him an offer on 1/13/16 and didn't receive a response until 1/17/16 because he had misplaced his phone at a relatives home, which is understandable. So we came to an agreement on a price and I transferred the money from my bank account as soon as we had agreed upon a price. As you all know PayPal takes a couple days to process this action and Zillakilla02 informed me that he needed the money ASAP so I called PayPal to get an ETA on the transaction and let Zillakilla02 know the info that I received and kept him the loop. I threw in an extra $10 on my offer to help him out a little bit as well. I kept in contact with him of any details on the PayPal funds and offered numerous times to wire him the money that day so as to expedite the process and get him his money. He let me know that other people were interested so I said alright lets just wire the money and get it done and he said no don't worry about it, we'll wait for the PayPal. So the money clears and I got a hold of him and let him know I was ready to send the money anytime and he said alright sounds good I'll get them ready and let you know when I am ready to send, a day goes by and he wasn't able to send out the pipes, understandable. The next day I text him and say he man we going to get those pipes out today? I've had the money ready since yesterday, he then says he didn't have enough money to ship them but he will get them out first thing tomorrow morning. This was 1/14/16 and that was the last time I heard from him until today, after numerous times of trying to get into contact with him, when I finally asked him if he sold them to someone else and he responded. He pretty much told me he has better things to do than to respond to me and that he sold them locally and got his full asking price and didn't have to ship them. I can sympathize that when selling something you want the most money for what you've got but don't make a deal with someone if you aren't going to hold up to your end of the bargain, communicate. At the end of the day I got burned and I'll find another set of pipes, no hard feelings. I know we all appreciate BHQ for being a place where we can network for parts and information so lets keep it honest. Call me old fashioned but I a man is only as good as his word. -

Pipes are sold. Buyer Beware, zillakilla02 committed to sell me these pipes and I transferred the money to my PayPal as soon as we came to an agreement and we were in the process of waiting for the money to clear so that we could make the transaction and he sold them out from under me and disappeared. He finally got back to me today after days and days of no response from my texts, pms, and phone calls. I told him numerous times that I would wire the money to him if he was in a hurry to get the money but he refused. He felt safer using PayPal but wanted the funds gifted which offers no transaction insurance just like a money wire. Long story short, he didn't hold up to his end of the agreement. I would never try to buy anything from him, I guess his honor and his word is worth the $20 he made by selling them to someone else. Buyer Beware. -
Hard to tell the condition of the splines in the hubs, any slop on the axle when you removed them? If not, I'd be interested.
-
Agreed, problem here is we're not telling him what he wants to hear. Just go spend the $3500 and quit wasting everyone's time if you're not going to take advice from people who have owned or rode all the mentioned setups and have weighed in with their opinions. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

Alright, thanks. I'll keep that in mind and do some plug chops when I get the CPIs here.
-
So if my cylinders were ported for the PT mids that came on it will it run like shit with CPIs? I understand that the cylinders should be ported for your style of riding, build, and exhaust choice but I should be able to throw on the CPIs and rip with it for a while right? Eventually it'll be a 4 mil but for now I just wanna ride it until I need to rebuild it. I've taken it on a couple day trips and I ended up having to put a new shift shaft in it with new springs, adjuster bolt, etc. Jeff at FAST hooked it up with the shift mod upgrades. But other than that, it's runs great when I take it out.

It was an auction last year in Salt Lake City, I don't remember what the auction house was called.

Haha, come on! You gotta give that retro purple/blue some love man.

Haha why do you guys say that?

This is the best I've got until I get off work if these are helpful at all. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
