  4. Holy shit just read that entire thread haha got a few good laughs and some good insight sounds like that poor kid had the same shit goin on I do except my mains are much bigger. Thanks for that tho good info :-)
  5. Awesome bike wish I would have seen this before I bought mine. I hope it sells for ya it deserves to be ridden
  6. I picked up some pilot jets from a yamaha dealership on my way up north on saturday, paid for them over the phone since they would be closed by,the time I made it up there, and they ended up being too big of threads. I told them I had an 02 banshee with stock 25mm mikuni carbs and they still got it wrong. Mine are the really small pilot jets. Am I missing something I need to tell these guys?
  7. It was really hard to start and when it did it didn't even smoke out the exhaust at all... I don't know what the guy was thinkin he was a total knob
  8. Yeah that's what Pissed me off because I told the yamaha dealer I had an 02 banshee stock carbs and they still gave me wrong ones
  9. It ran good on top with 340 mains but that was with slides backwards... when I turned them correct way it was so lean idling that I didn't want to run it. I picked up some 30 pilots but they were wrong thread size, I have the really small pilot jets so now I have to find somewhere with my jets around home or order online. I'm going to look for a jet kit to get some bigger pilots and some mains above and below 340
  10. Ok awesome yeah this is my first banshee so I'm trying to work all the kinks out but I didn't think a stock pilot was going to be good enough for that motor. Thanks alot I'll get a 30 for it then
  11. But yes it will run with the slides the correct way now. I think the bigger pilot will put it right on
  12. It wouldn't run until I moved the needle all the way down to the bottom clip. I can't believe the difference that made tho just moving the needle it went from not starting to sounding pretty damn good. I think it's a bit lean yet tho
  13. Also a big thank you to chariot performance for getting my new intake a reed cages to me this week super fast shipping and a pleasure to deal with. The throttle response from the intake and reed cages is a huge improvement and it's letting that motor breathe like it should! Just need some new exhaust now!
  14. Yamaha banshee 392 cheetah cub: Thank you to this site and all the knowledgeable people it has helped me tremendously! Getting her dialed in... I think I may need to go up with the pilot but it's close! Time for a plug chop tomorrow :-)
  15. I just found out after installing tors eliminator kit that the guy I bought my quad from had the slides in backwards. He also had the quad jetted for backwards slides. I turned them around and the thing wouldn't start. Finally got it to fire but it was extremely lean! I turned them back the wrong way for shits n giggles and it fires right up but runs rich because I moved the needle clips down one position to the middle when I installed tors eliminator. So where do I go from here to get it right? A bigger pilot and go from there? 392 cub Stock carbs 25 pilot 340 main T6 pipes, k&n direct mount filters, chariot intake and reed cages with boyesen reeds, live in Wisconsin so basically sea level Thanks alot for any help I was supposed to go ride this weekend for the holiday!
  16. So I turned the slides around backwards for shits and giggles and it fires right up and runs rich but it runs. ... wtf!!! When I originally took it apart the slides were backwards and the needle clip was on the 2nd position from top. I moved it to the middle. So now it's running more rich than when I first got the quad. Man the guy that had this was a knob!! So now where do I go from here? Obviously put slides the way they are supposed to be but if I go bigger with my pilot should that solve my problem? Or do I need to go richer with the needle since it's so lean with the slides the correct way?? Thanks alot
  17. I got the float set exactly right with measuring tonight and I got it to start but it's EXTREMELY lean like no smoke at all coming out exhaust it must be because it was jetted for the slides being backwards and now it's way off. I must need to go bigger on the pilot but do I need a bigger main too?
