I bought the bike as is Btw i decided on all black, chrome steering stem, red hubs, black frame swinger and arms and new black seat. Gunna save the flashy paint job for next build at the end of 2017

Hmm I hadnt thought of that.. a buddy of mine ran t5s on his drag ported speed freaks motor and it ripped hard.. he bought that 2-1 setup and installed it and his motor hated that back pressure because it wouldnt even get on the pipe at that point. idk what was up with it. Ive always liked how t5s looked though. Wondering how they would do on my motor.. would kinda like to find some silencers cheap and see what I could make happen

Manny how did you get those inserts off? I need to do that to one side of my bike.. one of them is stripped out

I worded that wrong, that "snap on" arrestor from toomey is what I was referring too. Im trying to find my old slp stingers.. thanks tricked

Is it stock oem, what year?

Is your stator hook up a square style or circle? The 96 and up CDIs are square style and the circular hook up is 86-95 I think? You just wanna make sure you got the right style cdi to match your stator hook up (circle or square)

I didnt ride Jds bike or even start it up before I bought it from the owner between him and I, but thats only because I saw it all over this site and his website, so i knew it was legit. Also we met up at like 5 am in my aunts sub division, that was half way for him, so I couldnt fire it up and ride it at 5 am lol But Yeah, if he doesnt let you ride it, tell him to kick rocks.

Wondering if any one else has tried this. I know Im not the only one that thinks the slp silencers are ugly and too long. Plus Im looking for an easier way to do a spark arrestor setup The Toomey silencers have the clamp on arrestors you can get for them and take on and off easily, plus I think they would look better. Anybody have an idea if its possible and what would be needed to make the swap.

Any where around 120 psi if it has a stock head that hasnt been molsested. If its under that you have a good chance at getting a few bucks knocked off if hes a cool guy Make sure normal stuff like the front and back breaks work. Got any pics of it? What are all the mods?

True, yeah they do sound check randomly.. I cant remember what the decibel level they wont let you in at I wanna say 160 and up, when I went with my shearers they stopped me to check for spark arrestors and never checked me for decibels. I wanna hit LS next yr

I havent been to any other dunes yet but I live in michigan and its about 3 hours from me. Its a blast. Its no glamis but none the less its still fun There are camp sites all around the area that you can camp at too. Here is all you need to get in - orv sticker and state sticker (you can get all these besides screen at silver lake) -10 ft flag -spark arrestor screens in your silencers (all they do is poke a stick in the back to see if there is a screen) so what ever will help you pass that test. They dont always perform it, but its better to be safe than sorry. Thats the only thing that sucks. Parking isnt bad unelss you go on a major holiday or busy weekend.

I dont have any problems with mine as far as shifting under load.. does that mean I need to add more balls to my slingshot? I also run all 6 heavy duty FAST springs. at higher rpms it wasnt getting great traction so I couldnt tell if it was slipping or not.

As long as its a billet basket. The FAST baskets are from Chariot and thats what I run, holding up great.

So are you selling that tusk axle then? or did I misunderstand what you said..
