I know this topic is old but at one time I went from 130 on 97 pump gas to 190psi 113 octane klotz on a 4mm long rod with 35mm PWKs and slightly wild port. I could ride a balanced wheelie to a crawl but my top end really suffered. Trails were slightly better, mx track was slightly better, up the dunes at glamis in 4th or 5th it actually suffered more than I liked. My times were faster with the right head and pump gas than an over compressed expensive fuel requiring head because I liked riding "in the power" at those high rpms. It was disappointing for me but some people really like gaining that lower end.
It also blows me away how different every banshee seems to ride so differently. A mod on one person's quad may not feel the same on yours.
Bottom line, it depends what your main riding is, can you afford to go back or try something different if you don't like it and can you afford the now insane race fuel prices?
i will never run race fuel again, unless I ever built a drag bike. The gains are minimal, especially on a play bike. running 93 in mine and ill never change it. I ran 110 in my old 4 mil with 35s and clearly spent an arm and a leg on a motor that drank gas like ddq drinks whiskey. On my 7 mil i have it setup for pump gas (155 psi) and have a stronger torque curve (a few more peak hp) on this motor than my race fuel 4 mil did, i say bigger stroke on pump gas and save money overtime.

looks awesome!!

its definitely the cable if it wont pass through. those little nubs arent usually that big, and btw those are the longer adjusters on the carb tops, the oem from keihins are brass, and the passage isnt any bigger it goes through, it only has more adjustment.

love it.

Hey Captain... rim size has nothing to do with height

i know that they looked like 8 inch rims and i know some tires they dont make in 8s. but if they arent then nvm.
cst pulse tires are apparently the best according to most but ive never ran em, i have ambushes on mine and they are about 120ish a pair and they hook really good
-
sweet plastics. if you are riding dirt do your self a favor and just buy new rims and tires right now, those 18s are going to spin for days not to mention the small lugs on them. not being negative, just advice!
-
did i sell that to you?
-
fine. just makes sure there is nothing that is going to come
-
maybe with stock intakes you do, idk.

You need a cross over tube. Can’t just block them off...
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalkoh yes ya can, UPP makes crossoverless intakes that i ran on mine with stock carbs

looks aweome, what did you do to clean the slps up ?? the finish from them is awful but yours fantastic. also love that you took the stickers off the silencers. PLEASE take some video of this thing climbing hills at trevorton

Airstrykers usually jet way low on pilot due to the fins in the carb that direct air over the base of the needle. I have airstrykers and my jetting is 35/152 right now on a 421 Serval w/ shearer sbif.
Chinese airstrykers obviously don't jet like either of the real Keihins.
oh okay cook just curious had no idea

still for sale??
pm sent

usually a backfire can pop reeds

thats hell big jets for a ported t5 motor
and dont air strykers jet more because they are suppose to flow more AIR ? idk
-
the main jet would have no affect at idle, but yes that is strange because if you turn it in, that is richer, out is leaner. I do know that most people dont care for pjs and almost all people run straight up pwk carbs instead because they are easier to tune apparently.
-
idk much about the Pjs other than the idle adjuster and CEL needle it comes with, but 60 pilot seems huge, and i am fairly certain pjs have a richer slide than the PWK as well but idk. if it starts easy when cold with no choke and is hell to start after its warmed up, your pilot is clearly too large.
edit: sweet looking bike

you will love the slps for climbing hills. instant power. i miss my old set. you running race fuel or pump? when i ran mine on race gas at 180 psi it had so much bottom end

I don't run Klotz so that's literally all I know about it. Sounds like it works fine though.

I have NEVER used a float tool. The way i set the float is i put a piece of fuel line on the inlet, blow into it, and push the float up till the air stops coming out, The line on the float body should be parallel with the gasket surface on the carb body when it shuts off, if not, adjust tab on float accordingly; sounds like u know how to. if all parts are good i wouldnt sweat it, i get some spill from time to time.

I don't like debates, I go straight to the source. Feel free to read for yourself but the cliff notes version is: BeNOL for alchol, nitro, gas or E85. R50 gasoline only.
Apparently you can run it but the manufacturer says not to.

oh i wasnt trying to debate i was genuinely asking because i had never heard that before and just wanted to hear the details. il lread into it
